Pure are already well established as the best-selling brand of DAB radios. Take a listen to the DAB radio on the Chronos and you'll see why. Coming complete with stereo speakers, the Chronos offers a surprisingly full and rich sound; especially from such a compact case. Detail is excellent and, compared with offer clock radios, the Chronos is simply in another league. In addition to DAB there's also an FM tuner for local stations. Like the DAB tuner, it too offers first-rate sound quality and pre-set stations.

Unlike other clock radios, the Chronos CD goes further by incorporating a CD player.

Great sound quality aside, the Pure Chronos CD is a really practical alarm clock, too. Four alarm settings give you the chance to enjoy an uninterrupted lie-in at the weekend and you can choose to be woken by a buzzer, radio or music from the CD player.

A small remote control rounds off this beautifully thought-out package. Wake up in style, with the Pure Chronos CD.

Graded stock - as new condition with 12 months warranty.

Delivery is £6.99 or collect in store.

Cheaper at the Hut if you choose the delivery option.I have just sent mine back, poor quality imo, looks cheap, does not pick up an expansive range of DAB stations and sounds tinny, having said that, for forty pounds,if you are prepared to live with those faults,it's a decent price.

But it is cheaper if you live near a shop and The Hut item only has 6 months warranty, this is 12.

Why are DAB radio's so expensive?

They start from £15 now, there's more technology inside them for one thing, but the chipset price has dropped DRAMATICALLY over the past few years.

'cos it was originally a British invention with British specifications, so of limited interest to international chip manufacturers. Being first with a new system is not always the best.
