Elan offers all the DAB features youd expect from PURE, including fast autotune, station selection by name, and scrolling text showing track and artist information. Use 2% voucher and 2% Quidco to get the price down to £34.56!! Scores 8/10 on Reevoo, very easy to set up..... bit of a bargain I think.

There won't be any DAB+ transmissions in the UK for at least 5 years, if ever.

Says here … Says here http://www.digitalradiotech.co.uk/2008/12/bbc_dab_tv_ad_campaign.php likely within 3 years.

Very dodgy website run by someone with a personal vendetta against the BBC and DAB.

DAB+ is the version of DAB which countries launching digital radio are now using.

However, it doesn't really add that many benefits over DAB and it won't work on the 8 million DAB radios used in the UK, so no broadcaster is going to start using it until most radios used are DAB+ compatible.

I got an Elan about 3 years ago from superfi.

Worked well and a good product.

Was told then that DAB+ was imminent & to avoid buying it as it would very quickly be obsolete. Glad to see the same ill informed comments still doing the rounds.

Mind you, it keeps those people away from thinking about anything more difficult.
