A bit of a blooming good deal if you love radio, or used to, I think.

First the detail; 'This Stock Is Official Pure Factory Refurbished Stock, Boxed With All Original Accessories & Covered By One Year Pure Warranty'.

The sound is superb and the radio accepts SD cards (up to 2GB) and plays your MP3s. Pause, rewind, and record the radio. Aux. input for your devices. My favourite setting though is waking up to a favourite song before the alarm tone switches on. This week it is 'It Ain't What You Do It's the Way That You Do it' by the Fun Boy Three & Bananarama. Cant help but smile.

Oh and there is a remote control ...(now I am off to shake a stick at something else).

I've got one of these & its the best DAB I've ever owned, BUT its now quite old, I've had mine for at least 5 years maybe more.
The recording works in an odd format, mp2 which means you will need to convert it if you want to keep a recording or use it on another mp3 player. Also the line in is very poor. The sound level is very low on line in. I have to set my mp3 player to full volume to be able to hear anything but the radio itself is very good. I don't think this is that great a price, mine was £90 from Dixons years ago. But if you are looking for a well made great sounding radio, this is worth considering.
Got this radio too still good paid 200 back in the day, not dab + upgradable, not a hot price

Eh? This is DAB and upgradable (software update).

I thought the point here, Hot Deals, is to show worthwhile products at the cheapest price. Can you point to a better deal for this radio?
Google dab+. This cannot be upgraded to dab+. It can take software updates via usb just not dab +. Cheapest price doesn't necessarily mean good price. Just my opinion.
Ah, I see now. 'DAB+' is one word my friend, I had read something completely different.

Anyhow the Pure website states "All Pure Internet radios support the playback of DAB+. If you are in a country that broadcasts DAB+ then - providing you are running the latest software on your radio - your radio will be ready to play."

That said on DAB+ the govt. is non-committed so it should be many years before they do support and switch to the new format. Also interesting was an article in 'Which Mag.'
"...many newer DAB radios contain a multi-standard chip, so they are DAB+ compatible. Other models with a USB port or wi-fi connectivity may be upgradable in the future".
