I looked at these and was tempted but I was a little confused that the power appears to be for the antenna and the display unit needs 2 batteries. It can be had for a few £ less on ebay too.
Good piece of kit for that money
Bit outdated now, did my head in that song titles etc only showed on display for few seconds.

Yep, bit odd, black box at aerial is the brains of the system. Strange mix of very clever and spectacularly dumb depending on your circumstances ie easier to hide cables in the A-pillar than the dash but then to rely solely on expendable batteries for the controller rather than give the option to wire it. Personally, I'd rather have wires for the lot and it to go on and off with the ignition.
Defeats the object if you have to transmit DAB radio through FM???

If you have an aux-input, you can use a cable instead.

Yes.. I don't have an aux input, USB input only. 2016 model and Mitsubushi didn't fit a DAB radio... Or an aux...
Most DAB stations are in low bit rate and mono!

Absolutely doesn't. There are hundreds of channels available on dab, compared with a handful available in each area on FM.

But if you listen to talksport and BBC Radio 6 what is a better option? Talksport on MW or no Radio 6 at all?
I've got one of these in the VW campervan and it works great.
good kit of you're in an area that has DAB. I live in Dorset and and reception was terrible and this was rendered useless.

See you point but on a standard radio you cant get stuff like Virgin Radio, Absolute 70s,80s,90s Rock ,Kerrang, Smooth,Magic,Country and tons of other stations. Standard Radio is limited to whats in the area.

I get Magic & Smooth on my standard FM radio. I see your point on a range but for £60 to get a few extra stations.. Spend £5 and put the music you like on a dongle... The other £55 can pay for a new DAB radio with a USB. Most ststions play the same playlist every few hours in any case.

Sadly the USB powers two rear screens, a HDMI splitter and a Now TV stick. 12v socket powers Mifi & an echo dot.
I use my DAB for 5 Live, 6 Music, Talk Sport and also LBC when I am out of range for FM. Well worth the money.
