Would buy one but the reviews have put me off, it seems to have a lot of messy wires coming fro it.

Its either wires or drilling the dash

It sticks to the screen - so another thing to take/hide when you park the car ensure you have all your windows and contents when you return.

Could price match with PC World and get a further 10% off! Plus 5% Quidco

I've had one since January and recommend it.
Sticks to the screen (like a sat nav). There's one wire from the aerial, which I've hidden down the pillar and along the bottom of the screen. It shows for about the 7 inch or so from the screen then to the unit. The cigar adapter I have plugged into an extension socket in the back ( I've got allsorts plugged into my car!!!) and just trails between the centre console and seat. You can see a fair bit of this cable as it goes up to the unit, but it's hardly in the way.
There's no other wire. Input to your car stereo is via a spare FM station.
Reception is good, and it works great as a portable DAB.

One tip I would give - DON'T stick the aerial to the screen. It's a one-off fitting and a new aerial is 15 quid. I stuck mine with velcro, luckily, as I had to have a new windscreen fitted last month and that would have meant new aerial as well.

Does this have one of those small metal sockets for an aerial? I have a revo dab which I must say I am pretty disappointed with. However I have an aerial attached to the read window and would love to use it for reception. Does it have to go on the windscreen? Can it not go elsewhere?

Yes, a small socket - smaller than a headphone socket. However........ as I understand it, there is a signal booster built into the aerial so it would be best to use it.

Nope, the aerial doesn't have to go on the windscreen. On another forum there's a cabby who mounted his on the back window. As I said before, wherever you put it, I would use velcro as the sticky fitting is a one-time install for the aerial and a new one is £15.

Thinking of getting this now, but first do any one know if i could use it to play my mp3 player in the car..
