Wonder if there is any other stores that have them.... Had about 10 left when I got mine. Anyone else got them at there local store?

cheers heading to bathgate store soon will grab one if any left

bought 2 in Bury.

They had a good number left

None at ours but they had the big plastics ones for 25p

Very handy for only a pound

Hope they have some in my store

none near me

£8.55 you sure!

These at a pound sound about the right the price for one of these... So not hot and not cold as I can get a 2 pint plastic jug for 99p anywhere..

Yeh, was on the price ticket in the shop. Would have took a picture, but staff member was next to me. Would have thought I was a bit of a weirdo lol

£8.55 was massively overpriced to start with, I bought a 1L Pyrex jug 2 weeks ago for £3 odd.

Great price.

Why did this get so hot? I cant believe everyone needs a new measuring jug...

I'll never forget my daughter sitting on the side next to me as I washed up, when suddenly she shouted 'Weeeeee' and I turned just in time to see her throw my Pyrex jug to the floor!

Yo crazylegs - Pirex is not plastic.

Excellent price. I seem to be forever using these jugs (usually the pint one), even though you'd think there'd be few oportunities...:|

How odd - they've been selling these for years at Tesco Sandhurst, they arent clearance there.

use them for mixing, noodles, microwave - loads of things, would buy a load if I could find them at a quid.

Think, i spotted them in 99p store in london can't remember exactly where . didn't see the size though they must be smaller, as this is getting so much heat. Not big fan of glass measuring jug as broke few on tiles in kitchen. My Mother in law's ofcourse.:p

Oh god! How on Earth is this so hot? It's just a measuring cup, for goodness' sake!

That's the beauty, it's a Pyrex; it can get very hot

So can all glass. The difference with pyrex is it can go from hot to cold quickly without cracking. Don't see how on earth one of these could be worth £8.55. £3 maybe.

Exactly. And, because it is only £1, this got hot very quickly

i've been in glasgow last night they are still for 4 pounds

Wow, It's so nice! I love it!

Not this price at Tesco cheam park farm, Surrey - still priced at £4

Good price.

Broadstairs had a shelf label for jugs, and bowls too at £1, but the shelf was empty. Nearby were some at £4 upwards.

my attempts at editing above post have sent me nearly nuts, the function is bizarre and disobedient.
I don't know why this thread is expired, some tesco stores might not have sold out yet, shall keep my eyes peeled in case. I forget the name on the shelf label but it was Pyrex "something" which was a different name to the expensive ones which were still there and labelled Pyrex "something else" though I doubt there's any major difference.

I use these for eating soup noodles out of! The handle is incredibly handy ;D

Can't believe you didn't pick me one up!! I'll remember that!!

You've changed!!

I have one of these jugs and I don't like it. The problem is the handle. Its not long enough. When your jug is full of a hot liquid you can't hold the handle firmly as it should be at least an inch longer. I think it's quite dangerous, particularly if you don't have much strength in your hands. Its badly balanced due to this, a proper handle attached to the jug at the bottom too, would be much much better.

£4 for me when I checked at the checkout today...
