If they can make this (and a profit) for a lot less than £3.34, how come windows are so expensive?

It's a glazing conspiracy.

same cost in wiko or wilkinson

I'm here all weekend. Don't forget to tip your waiters and waitresses

I'm going to sound like an idiot, but why does it come with a 10 year guarantee? What could go wrong with a bowl, besides smashing it?

Unless, the guarantee includes it breaking, then I'd definitely be ordering!

Problems during the manufacturing process could create microscopic fractures in the glass which could then cause it to break under heated conditions. If it breaks doing what it is supposed to do (say, holding hot liquid) it is quite likely to be a manufacturing defect.

It's guarantee against it exploding into pieces when being heated and cooled. Like 200c oven then into a cold sink. Normal glass would explode, this (hopefully) won't. For ten years. Allegedly.

I am sure they tell you never to go from extreme heat to cold, and to leave at room temperature to cool before putting into cold water. Otherwise you void your warranty.

That would explain the glass shards embedded in my face after every sunday roast. Thanks for the tip!
