Heat added, just what my mother needs as she’s hard of hearing. Thanks OP
Wanted to post this one a while ago but I had some concerns will not be very popular. The RRP is ridiculous, perhaps at this price will get some heat.

Rrp is correct for when it was released as confirmed by reviews, have to remember this is c. 10 years old when first released. Also the brand is a recognised decent quality audio manufacturer.
Have one of these on my 42” LG, sounds amazing now, bit of fiddling needed to get lip sync sorted

Yes, the RRP was probably correct at that time, but now is not, there are other alternatives, wireless and so on. However, this price is decent IMO.

LOL like it. Although personally prefer the extra year warranty - but as you say, if you want the cheapest possible + nectar points
Heat. Ordered for girlfriends TV. Curious to see what it’s like!
Worth saying - by default you cannot use a standard TV wall mount with this. HOWEVER I have fitted to wall using wooden battens through the 'hoops' the hold the side speakers - only need a tiny bit of creativity to get around the issue, the design of the speaker bars lends itself to a relatively easy solution. Also works nicely with Alexa etc, as just plays what ever going through it and powers down when not in use (was the primary factor for me buying it so can have good sound for both Alexa and TV without have to switch inputs etc)

How do you get Alexa without switching to another input?
Looks like it may block the rear ports hdmi etc. ?? Is this correct?

No, there's is a gap between the sub and mounting bracket. I will say that my TV was annoying and the TV aerial was obstructed by the bracket so I had to widen one of the mounting holes so that I could feed the cable through. As with all these things it will be tv specific, look at the iso mounting holes and see if going straight down would impede anything

All the ports play at once so if you had 3 items playing through optical, aux and TV all three would play. That works well for me, as only use one or the other but may turn off others
Great deal! Heat added!

For people wondering about having one optical in, I purchased a cheap 5 in 1 out electrical auto optical switching box from Amazon. It's been a God send for my devices.
For watching TV and movies; how do you reckon it would compare to this soundbar? groceries.asda.com/pro…698

Not sure if that is a serious question, but this will be light years better. The only criticism of this that I have is the bass is a bit light for my taste, to be honest that is because I'm so used to my 10 inch sub which is clearly going to be louder/deeper

It was serious, I have no idea! I thought maybe the value in a good soundbar might only come out when listening to music. Thanks, I'll pick it up.

Sorry some people like to take the mick promise the quality of sound will seriously impress, so long as you don't want the room to rumble you will be happy

Would ignore the RRP as stated above that was when it was released 10 years ago. Would say 100 was probably closer to what it should be now
Almost bought this to go on a Philips 43pus6754 but realised it would probably get in the way of the Ambilight...

The TV does need something other for sound though as it is utter sheet.

I have an ambilight and can assure you this won't impede it. The direction of the led combined with the gap on the bracket mean this would be fine. In fact, there may be a couple of led blocked by the arms, but it would likely be 4 led in total. Could always buy on ebay, try it and return if not. PayPal will refund your return shipping

I fitted it to my 55 inch LG B8 to test it. Really impressed! The speakers actually come to the edges of the screen even though the box says for 42 inch screen. I guess bezels were a lot bigger back then. It seems to even fit perfectly around all the various ports on the back of the screen.

Extremely easy to fit, adds loads of sound to the built in speakers and you’d barely know it was there.

Bargain for 40 quid.

How you find the bass from it? Sent first back as some reviews mentioned too much bass and I thought it was barely there, second was identical so just accepted it was more subtle than I expected.

Does it remember volume level after switching of ?

Yes it does
Can this be attached in conjunction with a wall mounted bracket?
No, I bought originally in hope it could be. Would need to make a custom mount like I did which supports via the speaker arms or source the genuine bracket.

I thought it was quite subtle but then I changed an output setting on my TV and it all seemed to get a lot punchier. Perhaps it depends on the input? Not a huge unit so doubt it would ever be that substantial, but under no illusions as to what it should be able to do. Overall very happy with it for the money, especially as my TV is in a tight corner with no room for speakers.

Sound quality off my TV using optical is absolutely spot on, playing from Echo was where the bass was weak. Bought a headphone AMP to go with it and that has sorted the issue out, MUCH better bass, very very happy with it now
Anyone thinking of mounting these, suggest looking at the ikea betydlig, bought to mount my 10kg Sony 26" TV, probably wouldnt want to use much heavier TV but one to consider
