Anyone can suggest a good budget amp for these?
Good price and voted hot, but personally I'd pay the extra and get the Mission QX-1s. Very pretty (especially in walnut), bigger soundstage and more bass, but you need an air gap behind them.

As for an amp, impossible to suggest without knowing budget, features required etc.

Maybe so, but if you're after a budget home cinema amp these would be a waste - and assuming you're going to use these as the front pair, you've got the added complication of finding a complementary rear surround pair, centre speaker and sub. If you are on a budget, forget these and get a 5.1 speaker package and home cinema amp.

Is that £250, plus the £168 you want to spend on these? You won't get a 5.1 setup worth having for £250 - spend a bit more and go for something like this.

There are the 3010i for rear and centre and sub as well. Not sure about amp. Budget overall would be around 900

Now you're talking. Check this out and add Atmos speakers when you want to. Join the Richer Sounds VIP club and you'll get 10% off and hit your budget. The Sony amp has been around for a couple of years, but it is brilliant.
Similar question to PoolHall, can anyone recommend a budget amp for these for use as turntable speakers? Cheers.

Can't beat this option on value! Alternatively if you just want an amp recc, the Sony STRDN1080 or Denon x2600h are good choices for 400£.

I don't miss a center, or a sub, you may want one depending on your taste and room size...

For use with a TT (no dac built in), have a look at the new Rega Io amp, it’s based on the highly regarded Brio amp (which I owned before massively upgrading my system) it has a really nice MM phono stage built in. It’s £379

I have these speakers but I put them on dedicated stands to improve the sound for me. I drive them with a Marantz PM6006 UK edition amp. Also have the matching CD player and a Yamaha streamer. Sounds good to me.

Centre is the most important speaker for 5.1 home cinema as almost all of the dialogue comes out of it.
I bought this last month and i thought they are pretty good.. They are setup for my office as a 2ch setup and powered by this cheap amp from Amazon:

amazon.co.uk/AD1…Q==

Highly recommended.
I have a Marantz PM8006 that I use for driving Q Concept 40's - I absolutely love the sound I get, it's a perfect balance for decent money.

So, here's the thing, I have a fairly large dining kitchen, we have parties, my family like music and like all parties we end up in the kitchen. I used to have 2 x sonos 1 but didn;t want to spend too much adding the sub - so i sold them and bought an old pair of Mission floorstanders off gumtree for £50 (m73i) and run them with a £50 SMSL amp off amazon - hooked up to chromecast....I didn't expect much but tbh I was blown away by what I was getting for the price, knocked the Sonos set up out of the water.

It was the amp...a total steal.

Over the last 30 years I'ved bought high end and at one point had nothing more than hitachi ghetto blaster! I get sound is subjective but for me, the days of going crazy with money for decent sound, no more (my best set up cost £18,000)

My final point, out of curiousity i hooked the the SMSL-SA 50 to the Concepts, my jaw nearly dropped, it has no issue driving them, yes i could tell the difference but my wife and daughters couldn't, the price variation of £950 between both amps.

IMHO, once you up to a certain price range with amps and speakers the value lessens, there's so much top gear selling second hand with perfectly good componenets you can go a bit crazt creating a new set up.

Budget.

Budget.

On the fringe of budget to mid-range for an AV receiver yes, but still worthy of an mention imo. It's about the level of amp to go nicely with a Q Acoustic 5.1 loudspeaker package.

I thought he was after a 2.0 setup. 5.1 is a bit different
These seem to be now 166 on amazon, and 169 on most websites. Should I wait for a better deal during the weekend? I am looking at some budget AMP like this one. richersounds.com/tv-…tml

Do you need something like this? You could go down the stereo amp route, it just depends what you need.
I called Richer sounds about this and they offered the Yamaha RX-S602 to go with. richersounds.com/yam…tml
