Qatar Airways Business Class to Asia and Australasia from £850 return (Flying from various European Airports)!

For those who know how expensive long haul business class fares are on premium carriers, you will quickly realise what an amazing deal this is.

Qatar Airways is a 5* Skytrax carrier and consistently ranked one of the best business class products in the sky. Expect everything from fully flat suites with considerable personal space, on demand dining with premium wines and champagne, access to some of the best airport lounges in Doha and all round great service. On the rare occasions I've tried the product, the only downside has been how hard it is to go back to flying cattle class once you've tried this.

Please note, this deal involves flying from European airports to avoid the very high passenger duty out of the UK. However, you can easily get cheap Easyjet connections to most of them (and even work in a stopover for a day or two, that way you get to see 2 destinations). A wide range of dates are available excluding the Christmas holiday period (however Easter looks okay).

At the time of posting:

Sofia-Singapore return in Business was coming to £850pp for 2 travellers.

Athens- Hong Kong return in Business was coming to £1050pp for 2 travellers.

Stockholm - Sydney return in Business was coming to £1350pp for 2 travellers.

*MORE ROUTES BELOW BECAUSE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ASKING*

- Athens - Tokyo from £1150pp return in Business.

- Stockholm - Auckland from £1350pp return in Business.

- Helsinki - Bangkok from £995pp return in Business

- Berlin - Johanesburg from £1150pp return in Business

Obviously this deal is not for everyone, but it is a sensational offer nonetheless and will hopefully help a few people out. The normal fares in business for these routes on Qatar can easily reach £3000-4000pp return. Your best bet is to search a wide range of dates as the promo fares are getting booked up fast.

Actually terrorism is mostly Saudi sponsored and they hate the Qataris due to the Qatari news network Al-Jazeera being critical of them and Qatar having different political views. Not saying Qatar is squeaky clean but I would rather fly QA over Emirates or Etihad (UAE supports Saudi foreign policy).

Nice find extremely hard to business class flights for even less than 2k

If booking a deal like this - please make sure that your flights to get to/from Sofia have plenty of leeway for delays. If you turn up at Sofia too late to check in because BA/EasyJet/whoever have failed to get you there in time Qatar have no responsibility to sort you out with an alternative flight. So build in plenty of contingency - if the same day try for at least 5 or 6 hours between flights, and better still go the day before for the outbound flight and overnight near the airport. Factor in the cost of your positioning flights to/from Sofia including luggage, and hotel if needed. I can add that Qatar Business class is one of the best in the sky.

Return?

Shame, I'm after a single for my wife!

This is definitely hot from me, hope to go to Melbourne around Feb'18 - would love to go business class and..... you are right, once you have experienced turning left when boarding it becomes very difficult to turn right. Going to check it out asap - heat added!! Thank-you for posting and sharing.

Hi alpha40 -- very keen to book a great price for two in business to Melbourne. We live in N. Ireland but willing to fly from anywhere in Europe. I'm checking various routes, if you happen to spot anything to Melbourne would you kindly let me know, we could and would be also very happy to fly into Sydney! Thanks again

Depends if you're flying on a "Qatar A350" Business Class

Or this "Qatar's Narrow body A320" Business Class

Question is Will i survive if plane crash

Most these routes involve the dreamliner/a350/a380 which all offer Qatar's best business class product, as I said you can search around to find the best options.

There's some good deals to be found and when folk actually see what they are getting then the price ain't as bad as it 1st seems

But my advice before booking a flight always check on youtube too see what kind of plane you're expected to be getting on before you book it

Just check seatguru they have all the plane charts and the booking will show the plane number. Bet there ain’t many narrow body flights from here to Asia.

It is a good deal that’s for sure. I’ve seen more expensive economy fares on some of these routes - especially to Australia.

Yeah you'll survive if you're not flying the plane 🤔

Can someone advise what dates this deal is valid for pls?

These are the terms of the promotion:

Book by 10th November

Travel before 30th October 2018, excluding 15th December – 10th January and 7th June – 10th September

However, you will have to do some searching for dates like I did to help another user find tickets because these promo fares are going fast and will already be fully booked on many dates. If they are available they will show up in a red box on the booking page saying 'BUSINESS PROMO' - not to be confused with 'BUSINESS SAVER' which is the usual cheapest business fare but a lot more expensive than this deal.

I am always worried about being in these places. There is a 0.1% chance something goes wrong but if you get arrested or detained you are screwed!

Last year QA flew over 30 million people through Doha problem free. You will not actually be stepping foot in Qatar itself (unless you wanted to) just transiting through the airport. And I can say it’s one of the best places you can stopover, they spent $17 billion to try and make it the best airport in the world, and in my opinion it has the best business class lounge of any airport - which you can access with this deal!

Good advice. I usually make a day of it wherever I’m stopping over to make the most out of it and be safe. A moderator has put Sofia in the title but this deal is available from most European airports including Athens, Stockholm, Budapest, Munich and Helsinki so please search widely for which one you would prefer the most!

Amazing deal

You mean unlike ,say the UK?

Flew Qatar Airways a few years ago, it was only cattle class but it was superb, stopped over in Doha, then got next plane felt like i'd dropped down to an old bus!

I'm looking to go to Thailand around January. Any good business flights?

Just tried Sofia to Singapore on 11/09/18 and it came out at about £860 per person, not for 2, op your first post says both PP and 2 travellers, a bit confusing
Edited by: "thelatics" 4th Nov

Is there a simple way to check these prices. I'm looking for a decent price to Brisbane, but I can't seem to find where to start looking for a deal price. I'm not bothered/sure what dates or origin airport to search.

Be careful about the layover, many flights seem to have a 20 hour layover in Doha which is really nasty!

Plenty of options without long layovers too. And if the layover exceeds 12 hours you're entitled to a free 5* hotel stay in Doha, combine that with the business class lounge offering unlimited champagne and fine dining and you'll want to stay longer. qatarairways.com/en/…tml

I'm not sure what part is confusing. The title says from £850pp and pp means per person. Those are the lowest business class return fares I've ever seen on a 5* carrier to Asia from Europe. If you were expecting £850 for two tickets that would be cheaper than even the most restrictive economy fare (even the taxes and surcharges are higher than that). The normal business class fares are in the £3-4k range as explained.

Google's ITA software can be quite good, although may not recognise all the promo fares. The best way is to manually search dates on Qatar and you will see a gold star on the cheapest dates. If you can give me a rough date range I may be able to help.

+Qatar is currently only offered for bookings up to 31st December 2017. Whether it will be extended into 2018 remains to be seen, but with low hotel occupancy in Doha at the moment I would person reckon that there is a good chance it will.

I am looking to fly from any airport to Brisbane in October from any airport. Spent quite a bit of time searching but can’t seem to find any promo rates can anybody help??

All my searches are returning currency as Swedish Krona - any idea how to change

Anyone help looking for a cheap one from anywhere in Europe to Sydney as cheap as possible in October 2018 as business

19th Feb - 12th March - Stockholm/Sydney 29564 SEK (£2680 total/ £1340pp) - good deal, shame there's mo single option (anyone going to Oz and I'll piggy back on the fair?)

Can you Send a link to second one peter. Cannot find them flight prices
