Nope, you are wrong, you are on the Brother site in the part where you go to after a purchase has been made, so for those people it's for the promotional period up to 30/5.

This is a new offer for the same amount with a promotional period up to 30/6. If you click the PC World link it takes you to a pdf stating 30/6.

It doesn't use ink, it's thermal like a till receipt printer. It can use lots of different labels or continuous rolls. Pretty sure it's not wireless, but is incredibly easy to use the included software and save a lot of time.

Use similar model at work and works well. No ink required and very low maintenance

Have used this printer since February, bought for £49 via ebuyer on ebay. Excellent printer, bought 600 compatible labels for £7 on ebay, very easy to install them too, they came mounted on a roller. The software is very good. £30 for this printer would be a steal in my opinion. Just a shame it isn't wireless, but you can't have everything. I use it just for address labels. No ink is required.

Phew I stand corrected then.
I just followed the link to Brother cashback in the OP's listing and that's where the T&C's for the May offer were THE T&Cs on offer.
I can see that Currys/PCW page has a link to a T&Cs with June dates and explicitly states by 30/6 so NOT too late
Anyone can suggest good offer on any wifi version please?

Yes, but the size you are working with is obviously very different, the biggest labels suitable for these (62 mm wide) are still quite small. I checked eBay yesterday, 800 large labels on a roll for under £7, which is even cheaper than the ones I bought.

Bought mine from prestige cartridge, they moved the price up to £9, label size I bought was 29mmx62mm, other sellers just now on ebay have 800 labels, same size for £6+. I think there are two different types of roll, a continuous roll- where you can print a banner, and single address labels.

Install the drivers for the printer and you can select the sizes, I just downloaded the 6x4 pdf which eBay generated and printed it on 62mm wide continuous size and it scaled it for me.

tHANKS FOR THE FEEDBACK, MUCH APPRECIATED !
What's better continuous roll or label ones, I need it for shipping labels?
Thanks, Just what I was looking for. Will go for it from Argos at the same price and should be available for the cashback promotion (although Argos page doesn't reference it, Brother do link to them).

Does the machine come with some rolls to get your started?

Related, cheapest place on the highstreet to pick any rolls up?

Thanks.
Edited by: "morgie" 25th Jun
OP I actually ordered one of these on basis of the £back, so thanks for the alert and £back confirmation after my initial scepticism.

Got it delivered yesterday from Currys/PCW

It comes with an 8m full width trial spool (ie black plastic reel holder that tells the printer certain attributes of the reel) with a reel with all those black alignment marks.

I also ordered from Amazon Marketplace and eBay some COMPATIBLE 24mm circle labels x1000, and 38mm x30m reels and tried the 24mm and working perfectly. [actual suppliers/costs mentioned in later msg below]

Note if you are ordering compatibles be sure that it includes (or you add) a REEL HOLDER for that DK# as the printer needs to know what type of DK labels are inside!

You need to register the product to claim the cashback and when I tried the website took all my details and promptly LOST them all!

I used online chat to ask about it and they told me to ring the registration line where a delightful operator (working from home) apologized for the website being partly broken at the moment and took all my details and send an email through for me to prove purchase.

The software/drivers etc required are best obtained from the Brother Support site at
support.brother.com/g/b…gb&
as the main website won't offer software, just an error message instead

The installer is a bit user unfriendly - if it seems to have paused for too long then look for a dialog being hidden behind the front window. That said it EVENTUALLY completed fine on Windows 10 and my first hesitant attempts to produce barcoded labels worked just fine. Indeed it spits out printed labels very quickly indeed.

So far very pleased.

Thanks again OP and @mk-donald for the info above.

Also got mine today (I ordered online and picked up from Argos). All good also. Software is a bit 1990, but it does the job USB cable also looked like it was from a similar period with a nice "yellow-ish" tinge to the grey, maybe been sat around a while.

The software download link above didn't work for me @mk-donald but this one did - support.brother.com/g/b…gb& I was also receiving the error on the support site

I registered the device and entered bank details for cashback, all seemed fine. I uploaded my Argos e-receipt. No clear details of what happens next there though. You can go via the link already provided: brother.co.uk/bro…des or via a registration route and when prompted just enter the code Q1QL30

I've ordered this continious roll from Amazon to try - amazon.co.uk/gp/…7E/ (£6.99 Prime or cheaper for S&S). It lists about every model but this one, but from their similar item (6 of these) someone asks/comments that it should be fine. I can update when I try it.

Yes I too was a little wary as hardly any of the "compatible" labels listings mentioned the existence or compatibility with QL600B (B=Blue). However the two compatible reels I've tried so far were instantly recognised and worked fine.
Of course the manual says not to use non genuine consumables
Assuming get the £30 (within 14 days!) it's a bargain.
Agree the software is decidedly dated, but seems functional.

Yes it comes with rolls in the box to get you started, i think they are the continous rolls, where you can print something longer than a standard address. Don't know regarding price to get labels cheapest on the high street, the labels are so cheap on eBay I'm happy just buying there. I don't have Amazon prime.

Thanks. Please see my later post above, I went ahead with the purchase and picked up yesterday from Argos. I've also ordered an additional roll from Amazon that I mention and link to, will confirm it works when I try it.
FYI In case it helps anyway, I ordered some compatibles - that were both delivered within 48 hours - and that worked from:
Amazon Marketplace : ONE CONNECTION LIMITED for 2 (with frames included/fitted) c£10
eBay: mr-label c£5 delivered with frame [remember to add a re-usable plastic frame for each type of DK# you buy!]
