I'm confused but it states on the site;
• Supports 4x 500 gigabit SATA Hard Drives
but you have stated;
Supports 4x 1TB gigabit SATA Hard Drives (Max 4TB)

Does this mean it can handle TB drives or not?

yes it does support 4 X 1Tb check out the ones on ebay. I suspect they where made when 500gb drives where main stream any doubts give ccl a ring.

Good find and price for one of these.
I've been trying to decide for a while between throwing a few more drives into my HTPC or buying a NAS enclosure. This is nearly cheap enough to convince me to go for option 2.

More information is … More information is here:http://www.mrt-communication.com/35HD-QUAD-NAS.htmThe bad thing is that this one is based on Storlink

Sorry don't understand "Storlink" why is that bad?

Storlink is low-cost Chinese CPU, which is normally found in cheap NASes, just like RDC chipsets. They are improving somewhat but still not a patch to Marvell Orion or even to Geode.

Sorry to hijack this thread but which NAS devices use them?

Er... use what? Storlink, RDS or Marvell? For example, the NAS4220 is using Storlink (or Gemini by Storm Semiconductors as they are known now). DLink's DNS-323 and 321 are both Marvell, but DNS-313 is Gemini-based.
