good price

How does this compare to the recent Aldi deal?

Good knowledge. Not as good a deal as first thought.

Deck will be pants but at least it has a Briggs engine albeit the bottom of the range.

cooley

I'd be interested to know this too.

Wow! A 125cc engine in a lawnmower. I didn't realise they got so big. This would be great for a go kart project. I can't see you could buy an engine cheaper.

125cc is the small end of mower engine size, you can get a reconditioned replacement engine around £80 or so.

useful knowledge sharing, thanks

Picked one of these up yesterday. Given that this is a no-name re-badged mower, you do get a lot for the money.
I'm pleased with it.

It's replaced my self propelled Flymo petrol rotary which lasted 10 years (that cost £100, so £10/year is pretty good I think).

If this lasts the same length of time I'll be happy.

Quicdo tracked at £4 (2.5% of £159.99) but that might be reduced to reflect the £127 purchase price.

Picked one up in derby today. Looks good.

This price is now expired though.

looks the spitting image of the Aldi one that just cost me £149.99

The problem with this machine is its not made by qualcast,B&Q and others pay qualcast to use there name. The qualcast sp46 was a great example, covered by B&Q warrants but not by qualcast ,if you called qualcast about that mower they totally disowned it! NO spares were available for that mower,at all . I believe this machine will have the same problems, known to be a bad starter as well
