Just to warn; we bought this on sale about 3 weeks ago at £55, first time it was used the wheel disintegrated, so we took it back to Argos and were told a number of them had been returned for the same reason. So this may be why it's been reduced. (Haven't voted hot or cold).

Thats really bad and Argos should not be doing that.

In fact our microwave went faulty on Monday. Guess where be bought it? It was half-price when we did too.... Interesting thing is my parents have the same one and there's has been returned twice due to the same fault (powering on, but not cooking). We bought ours barely over a year ago.

I gave up with electric lawnmowers years ago, they're not robust enough and they just don't last. Petrol mowers are the best. You've only to go on holiday for a fortnight, come back and you've a jungle where the lawn once was. An electric mower will just stall (or the plastic drive gear will strip its teeth, as happened to me - twice!), whereas a petrol version won't.

This will only last one year before it fails to cut evenly.

Poor machine now sold close to value.

just to let you all know although qualcast is registered to bosch, bosch have leased the name to argos retail group so this mower is nothing more than a rebranded challenge.

Petrol lawnmowers are much better, unless you have a very small lawn.

Spend another £20 or so on a real Bosch - best of their type and will reward the extra spend over and over again. Just see all the comments from owners every time they are posted on HUKD.

Got one of these a few weeks back at £50 - very light and seems to give a decent cut, although I haven't used the lowest setting yet - the collecting bin is a right pain to clip together when you first put the mower together and will have you swearing like a surly docker, and in use if the bin gets too full and you happen to be on a slope the mower can tip backwards, so watch out !

It does collapse down, so handy for small spaces in your shed.

Probably best for small gardens that only need an occasional cut - I only have a couple of green bits out front and it does the job nicely, when I cut the grass once a week (wet weather and drought permitting)

I bought one last week, No probs
It cuts nice and even. It sucks the grass up into the grassbox easily even lifting the lawn edging and cropping that.
I have used it just once and I found I didnt have to get out the strimmer for lawn edging or the suck/blower thingy to clean up.
My now dead F**mo used to blow cuttings all over and was heavy to carry from front to back. Now I have wheels!
As a challenge I timed myself to 15 mins to get the grass box together. You only do it once!

Hot from me and my postage stamp lawns!
