You can be very sure it will be better than Tesco's.

Had Angus rump last week and it was very tasty. And we paid well over a £10. Very good price, may change my plans for tonight. Thanks BTW had rump steak from Lidl before and they taste great.

had this for tea last night. Very tender and juicy! yum

Do then sell non "quality" meat?

I'm Vegetarian but I still like a quality rump. See a few recently even in this cold weather.

If you cant get to your local butcher for whatever reason then this is the next best thing. Goes for all the beef range - mince steak, diced casserole steak etc.

It kicks Asda meats rump into the middle of next week - in fact Winalot could do that.

Got this for my dinner tonight. Very good quality, thick and tasty steaks. Fantastic price.

is it year ago it was the horse scandal, I thought aldi and lidl had the worst buy escaped the press on the whole, dodgy but maybe ok?

Oooooh must try!... ta for the heads up x

Lidl are supplied some of their butchery meat from the same supplier as M&S.

Cheap and cheerful. Money is tight though. Butchers is far superior. Still hot deal tho

Surely that's a bit like saying "I'm a virgin, but I still like a good ****"!

No it's like saying I don't eat meat but I like damn fine butts on the ladies.

I often buy the rump steak from lidls and it cooks really well hot griddle pan couple of mins on each side and leave to rest

None in my local shop. Another couple of quid wasted on petrol on another unproven deal. Why do I waste my time!

The key question is not whether meat or anything else is quality as a public relations claim on a label. The key is testing evidence for quality and have the results ready for inspection on the internet to those who just read the word quality and needs to know if it is really quality rather than PR exercise. For all the supermarkets which claim quality but there is a complete absence of quality evidence on their web sites. There is none other than PR material! It is like a school claiming fantastic exam results and quality of education but their web sites have no evidence but they do!

Chill out

Still the usual price for this 400g stake at Byker, Newcastle (around £6).

Lidl's steaks and mince always quality.

Bought one today and have just cooked and eaten it. I must say this is the best home cooked steak I've had for ages.

Maybe a trip back to the store tomorrow for additions to the freezer!

Almost everyone is better than Tesco when it comes to pre packed meat.
