Fantastic price sold.
If you like Aidan Gillen I thought his performances in Treacle Jr and Blitz were awesome
superb price
I always said i'd bite at a tenner, but i'm not so sure now... Anyone played it? Is it worth my time?

This is for 2 games don't forget - unless you have Alan Wake already
Steaming hot, finally purchased.

Which means it'll be on next months GwG...

Sod it... i've bought it... even if i only play it for a few hours its probably worth a tenner... I've heard some decent things about it!
Good game you'll enjoy it
I believe the DLCs are still free too! (For Alan Wake)
I bought it on disc recently. Thought it was only a once play through so I could trade it in after... having played the first few acts though I'm well in to it and might play through again to make game altering decisions later on. Sometimes it feels a bit drawn out (if you can believe that with it being a short game) but there is always something at the end of each act to keep you wanting to play more.
it will probably be included in the Xbox game pass service when it officially starts but a tenner is a brilliant price. Went into this game not expecting much but found its pretty good.
awesome, took a few tries to get to the checkout cos i think its being hammered the site lol got it all in the end now tho! hawt!

I loved Alan Wake and Remedy's story telling in my opinion is superb. It's like being in a Stephen King film. The action is great and the use of light and shadow (you'll see) is terrific. Lots of tense moments. My cousin couldn't complete it as he couldn't take any more scares. But then, he is a bit of a wet lettuce leaf.
Make sure you follow the story properly and you'll have a great time. Superb graphics too.

Quantum Break is kind of similar but more of an action/sci-fi tale than a horror/mystery. I enjoyed Alan Wake more but both games are superb and a lesson in making a quality and original game mechanic. £9.99 is a ridiculously good price.
Thanks, ordered after repeated attempts.
move on nothing to see here.. unless of course you want Alan Wake for £9.99

Thanks for the review Piper!

I really enjoyed Alan Wake too, but never played the DLC. Don't think i'll miss the tenner!
I bought this when it was a tenner late last year and it is the only game I've 100%. I really enjoyed the story, cutscenes look great and the episodic action show parts at the end of every chapter feature some fantastic actors.

No problem. If you thought Alan Wake was surreal at times then the DLC ramps it up a notch. Worth playing if you liked the main game as it's just a continuation of the story really.
Alan Wake is one of my favourite games of all time.

Played a couple of hours of Quantum Break. It looks great and plays well, I just found the writing and performances pretty poor, the story really hard to follow and the TV show tie-in was incredibly jarring with some really poor acting. From disc with the TV episodes downloaded, the total install size is... wait for it... 170GB!

I think it's easily worth a tenner to try our, especially with Alan Wake + DLC which is just incredible (though a bit marmite, I know).

I agree with your appraisal of Alan Wake 100%. Slightly differing views on Quantum Break, though I probably need to give it more of a chance.

It's worth saying that you don't have to install the episodes though, by default they'll be streamed to you.
I sold this after completing it at launch, very good game and a massive bargain at this price. The fact it includes Alan Wake too is amazing. I think I'm going to get it again for a second play through

Its a great game. Seriously underrated. The graphics have a weird effect to them but i loved the story and the episode bits. Its fairly unique and worth the time it takes to play.
Is this play anywhere compatible? I couldn't see any comments saying yay or nay

No, because it's a physical copy. You'd only get it cross platform if you bought it digitally. (Quantum Break is on disc, only Alan Wake is a digital download code, which will give you access to that game on 360 and Xbone.)

Crazy that they would stream the episodes via the internet, and not just play them from the disc.... it is a blu-ray after all. So backwards.

All down to space i'd imagine, wouldn't have thought people would be happy with a third of the hard drive being taken up by a single game, and there's always the option to download the videos if you wish too.
The max size of a blu-ray is only 50GB too so it'd need 4 discs to get everything on there.
Edit: thinking about it I don't remember the install with the videos being as big as 170GB I thought it was more around 120GB, but I haven't played it for a while so it could have been updated since then...

Great price, definitely one of the best single player campaigns I've played. Love Aidan Gillen's performance.

It's a fun game. The time shifting powers make things a bit easy though so play it on hard to get your money's worth.
I have it on Steam, really good game worth it 100%
So close to hitting 'confirm payment' using my whole 56p to make the deal look sweeter to me.
My wife however when another game turns up in the post will go supersonic!
If only this was digital :-( I could add it to the hidden stockpile
Great price. I've not played QB but it looks very shiny and probably worth playing. I played the original Alan Wake and that was a lot of fun. To get the add-ons too is a great touch.
is it really 170gb
