Hi, just been on Decathlon and found this, for me this is perfect for using at family events (BBQ's etc), Fishing and Camping but it has many more uses. It's very portable and easy to store. I've checked the reviews too 4.7/5 plus has a 2 year Guarantee. I've done a quick price checker and these or similar go up from £35 to around £65+ so for all the uses you get from this piece of kit £19.99 is a steal for me.

Also...sow on some kador strip for 6 quid from amazon and it becomes a great campervan awning for overnight stays. 50 quid cheaper than similar on ebay.

Bought one a few years ago. Easy to put up and compact when put away. Ideal extra for tent or caravan.

Yep, just the Tarp on ebay was £29.99 - no poles etc

That bottom pic is a bit misleading as the tarp only comes with 2 poles

I think it's actually the 2 poles split into 4

Also...sow on some kador strip for 6 quid from amazon ?? WTF

I've got this tarp and use it as an extra shelter/awning when we're away camping. The poles come apart and can be configured in lots of different lengths so its pretty versatile. My only minor gripe is that that the poles are a little short so I've bought bigger ones to use with them.

There's also a more reflective hight SPF one for another £5 which might be useful for sunnier climes as it says can get hot under the tarp.

Kador strip is the stuff used to attach an awning to a caravan or campervan.

could you fit a small car under? ie like a kit car

There's only one of the poles being used in that pic..... how is it misleading ?

These are great, have the better UV filtered version Fresh version of this.
If you want to use it for sun as well as rain it's worth £5 more.

I believe the last few pictures show it being used with hiking sticks, as mentioned in the details.

it's one pole and guy lines

Similar thing available from today in Lidl, if that's closer/easier for people.

2 Year Guarantee?

Think I'll pop to lidl 2moz

Looking at the comments it appears it can get quite hot underneath this. So they also do a thermal reflecting version for £5 more .... decathlon.co.uk/tar…tml

These are brilliant, i've had one for years, used it as an awning on various tents as well as a stand alone sun/rain shelter, very versatile i use, mine's a bit battered now and has a few holes in it from rouge sparks from BBQ's and fire pits, ordered a replacement, heat added.

Great deal, lidl one looks good too!

The one in Lidl looks like it has curved edges, that might make the dimensions a bit misleading. Can anyone confirm if its square or curved?

Its described as a "sail" which normally means its more of a diamond shape than a square / rectangle, IMO the Quencha one is more versatile as the poles can be placed in all 4 corners or along the centre line.

I agree with that, having taken a second look at both, the Quencha one looks like it has an attachment point in the centre of the tarp allowing for more configurations.

My dad would love this!

I can confirm the Quencha has 6 "eye holes", one in each corner and 2 on the centre line.

Thanks for that. Does it have one in centre of the fabric as well as the two in the middle of the edges along the centre line? Some of the images on the google images link above show the tarp with a centre attachment point but on others its not clear. I am wondering if there has been a change in design and if so, which is the current model.

It has a centre attachment point for a guy line but not a pole, if it had a hole in the centre you would get wet

Great, thanks for that. The photo makes it clearer, attachment loop in that location definitely makes more sense than a eyelet.

only 180cm high so may be an issue if you are tall?

Anybody bought the Lidl one? I might go and look tomorrow as they are no longer on their website.

Reminds to self, Must buy this tarp.

Exactly what I needed, specially with the addition of a couple of telescopic poles so I can actually walk under it :-). Nice one OP.
