Cold from me. My quicksilver backpack lasted less than 6 months before the zip just burst completely (can off its runner at one side and no way to get it back on) and there is no warranty with these packs. Complete waste of money.
Only buy packs with warranties of at least a year now.

Guess it was just bad luck for mines then but still left me screwed. I still have the backpack don't want to throw away as still looks new just useless as the zip won't shut.

It was purchased online. When I emailed them they just said it had been used and was out with the 30 day returns period.
Do. You have a link to where your sourcing this info as I may still be in the year bracket so could try them again if I can provide proof to back me up

That's very poor form from Quicksilver if they where the ones you purchased from. I just scanned through their returns policy/ warranty and I have to say it is very onerous and the terms for faulty goods are unclear. Not to mention their returns address for online purchases is in Belgium!

Regarding your issue: If it was less than 6 months then you most certainly will get a refund or replacement, if it is longer then you are still entitled to a repair or replacement. First 6 months - The onus is on the retailer to prove the fault didn't exist at time of sale (which it can't) (you say it fails the durability requirement). In any case use the handy link leaston provided, it has a tool to help draft a claim against the retailer. The resolver site is also good for this: resolver.co.uk

Another avenue to persue if they continue play games is to make a claim with your credit (section 75) or debit card issuer (charge back).
