Can someone explain why people spend exorbitant amounts on pushchairs? Is it a show of wealth? Fashion? Trying to give the baby the best? Or is it showing off? I suspect one of the reasons is a physical measure of how much you love your child, e.g. A mother with an expensive pushchair will believe she loves her child more than somebody with a cheaper pushchair, and therefore reassure herself that she is a good parent.

I'm not a fan of quinny pushchairs but it's a good price if you like them

what confuses me even more is when people pay hundreds of pounds for a pushchair then buy the cheapest car seat they can find

I can afford to buy my children the best doesn't mean to show off or anything I love my kids more then what they have! What winds me up is when I see people scrounging on benefits buying there kids second hand stuff just so they have enough for there alcohol and cigs !!!

£480? It better be self strolling for that price.

Just out of curiosity, do you earn more than 50k/year?

Sorry but that isn't any of your business but I could come from a wealthy family also both me and parter do our best for living so yes this to us is cheap!

As a father of 2 with a third on the way I think 480 for a pushchair is about the right amount to spend. My wife is adamant she wants a Quinny Moodd this time, I have looked at them and they seem really good quality. We have seen them for this price with the maxi cosi pebble thrown in though if you're not too fussy about the colour.

What happened to the old style push chairs that were in use like 30 odd years ago. Cheaper than these expensive ones and still did the job.
