QUMOX ... WOW ...... the holly grail of memory card makers.....

Last QUMOX card I bought (64gb class 10) from Amazon was a fake. Just a warning

Amazon flatly refused to refund it until trading standards were involved. Got refund only after that.

I should have taken more notice that QUMOX is all in capitals, and is usually only found on eBay and Amazon

Caveat emptor "Let the buyer beware"

My Dad works for Qumox, give them a break

Unfortunately I don't share your confidence in Qumox. Qumox condoms ruined my life.

i'm more impressed the mods allowed this post, new product on Amazon with less than 15 feedback/reviews about the whole QUMOX business.sorry op

Qumox make a GoPro knock off that is actually pretty good. Can't speak to the quality of these, however.

I have absolutely no experience of these cards but it seems like a lot of eggs to put in one untried and untested basket.

That's a hell of a lot of data to trust to a no-name card; there could be a lot of tears as a result!

I only trust Sandisk Ultra or Pro series. But that's just placebo. If you're unlucky to have a faulty card there isn't nothing else you can do really.

Actually .. now thinking of it .. 'QUMOX' Name aside .. what/who/where the hell would I use/be able to use a 128MB SD Card at anyway ..... wtf? .. this is hhhhhuuuuuuugggggggggeeeee! lol. :-)

Checked, looks cool ..but showing up as £50 for me?.

Ps.
Is Komputerbay Memory Cards any good either still?, or ..... thanx. :-)

R u sure saving valuable images and videos files on an unknown branded sd card is a good idea?

Hot deal but not a good idea

As is the case with so many retail products, you have to put your trust the retailer. In this instance, who knows? These Quomox cards may, or may not, be decent quality. Why anyone would risk irreplaceable video and/or data to save a few quid is a mystery to me. Buy the best you can afford, is my advice. If cash is tight then consider buying a quality card with less capacity.

Let me be the one to help allay any fears of these cards.

I bought one of these on ebay at around £40 to use with my Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera. I'd already picked up a Komputerbay 128GB card at £52 from Amazon, so, I wanted to see if there was much of a difference. Long story short, no real difference!

I've shot loads of footage using these Qumox 128GB cards and they have never given me any problems. The last couple of shows I shot with these cards went without incident. Although 2-3 months is still considered early days, I've found them to be very trustworthy. I hope to be investing in a couple more at this price!

For the BMPCC peeps amongst us (any?), this card doesn't work with RAW mode! Even though it does hit 60MB write (57MB for lowest RAW mode). The BMPCC is just picky!

My Qumox basket is pretty good, but I'm not sure it's real wicker.

I'd agree about photos and important files without having another copy at the same time. However it's ideal for the likes of a raspberry Pi, expanding storage on a laptop/tablet or being able to play my music collection back from the SD card slot in my new car. I shall be considering getting one as it's a lot of capacity for the 110GB of music we currently have and given me a nice choice to listen to.

I examined the data on the card before ever writing to it, and it seems the manufacturer tests the cards with h2testw themselves!

Nice and reassuring figures. I think I know what I'll be buying for my car stereo. Hopefully some others will post to confirm if those figures are fairly consistent.
