Quorn Bacon - Very Rarely On Offer- Only £1.00 @ Morrison's

Found 13th Oct
I have been buying Quorn products since it's launch and very rarely have I seen the Quorn Bacon on offer!

I cook with this every week to make Pasta's, Pizza's etc, so it was definitely time to stock up for the next six months!

So, If you haven't tried it before and fancy giving your body a break from flesh soaked in fat and toxicity , then why not give it a go?

But i like eating flesh soaked in fat and toxicity...... I ate a raw pidgeon once!

Go on then .Bi.ch me I'll say it . Why do veggies want something that looks or even reminds them of meat. My love life has never been the same since the wife became a vegeterian and gave up meat.

Heat for the deal though.......

I haven't seen this before, but am interested a bit. Do you cook it like you would normal bacon, in a pan, or is it ready to go from packet etc?

Stick to vegetables if you don't eat meat!

is it any good? i love their nuggets.

You can defrost it, store in fridge and use for salad or sandwiches within 3 days.

Or you can microwave within minutes to eat with your Quorn Roast.

I have one of those Philips Airfryers which cooks it quickly and crispy, if you prefer your Bacon this way.

If you've tried their Ham it's similar in taste but a more roasted flavour.

Yay... Tired of just getting the sausages. Heat

Problem with Quorn is, every time I go to a supermarket, they have one shelf dedicated to them and it's always sold out. You just watch people take the whole lot of walk out

That's a shame, I've noticed each Supermarket's volume of stock is depicted by the level of local demand. My Tesco's carries the most Quorn, 3 Fresh shelves & 6 frozen. Fortunately I also have a fairly well stocked Morrisons & Sainsburys close by as well.

Did you have to go and take a selfie?

heat for the deal, but the little chip at meat eaters is unnecessary

Watch you don't cut a finger off trying to seperate the slices, their stupidly dangerous frozen all together, at least put a separating bit of silicon etc in between.

So, what's the taste/texture like. The texture is usually where these meat substitutes fall flat

Yep I can't understand why you would want to ingest chemical additives and antibiotics

on the basis of taste (mine) and not all the small ill-informed talk inspired by hearsay, industry propaganda and "what was on the internet" - this bacon did not remind me of bacon and will not replace it.
The quorn nuggets have replaced chicken nuggets in my household.

Because some veggies like myself didn't give up meat because they didn't like the taste, they just simply don't want to eat animal flesh, so a cruelty free alternative is a bonus.

Heat

Wrong on so many levels. If you love bacon buy the bl**dy real thing, cruelty to animals ? They will be slaughtered come what may. Even if you dont agree its going to happen, and i for one will not give up my bacon butty. if you veggies wanna be ripped off with quorn bacon then crack on.

Meat is much healthier and more natural than Quorn, even though it has a higher fat content. ... So if you want some truly healthy meat-free meals than why not cook some delicious high in protein lentils, beans or maybe quinoa?

Maybe I'm a moron. Maybe I think vegetarians are morons for wanting to eat meat substitutes. Maybe I just want to share my opinion without a-holes like you replying.

If sold out at Morrisons, buy it at Tesco with sufficient other stuff (small onion, carrot, bannana, etc., etc. to qualify for their 'Brand Guarantee' and get it for the same price as at Morrisons, or buy at Asda, again with enough other items to qualify for their 'Price Guarantee' and get Morridons price beaten by 10%, but with the Asda you need to go online after shopping at full price and print a voucher to get money off your next shop.

N.B. Be carefull to include only items cheaper at Morrisons (check on Mysupermaket) or buying Tesco/Asda offers as part of your shop will erode your Quorn savings.

Thanks OP. Just stocked up.
