Anyone tried these? Didn't like the fishless fingers.
I hope there's a fish alternative for us non-vegans.

Nor did I, but I do like these. Not too "fake fishy"?!

You could always give the chicken a few swimming lessons and see if it tastes more like fish.
Ingredients:

Rice Flakes (Rice, Emulsifier: Sodium Alginate), Wheat Flour (Wheat Flour, Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin, Thiamine), Water, Mycoprotein (10%), Vegetable Oils (Sunflower, Rapeseed), Natural Flavouring, Rice Flour, Maize Flour, Wheat Starch, Malt Vinegar Powder (0.7%) (Barley), Thickener: Methyl Cellulose, Wheat Dextrose, Sea Salt (0.28%), Salt, Citric Acid, Sugar, Yeast Extract, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Black Pepper.
Will give them a try.

The texture is different and the batter is a winner for me but as with anything it is a matter of personal taste, worth a try though at this price
I like these, though they aren't really fishy enough. Sprinkling lemon juice on them while they're cooking improves the flavour, for me anyway.

Reading those ingredients makes this sounds even more delicious.

I wasn't aware as to what mycoprotein was, so I had to Google it. Turns out that it's fungus protein, which is what Quorn is. I'm pretty sure that wasn't how Quorn was advertised when I first heard of it in the 80's. I'd always thought it was corn-stuff. You learn something new every day. Quorn is a fungus.

If this ingredient list doesn't make you want to taste vegan food, nothing will.

Quorn is a fungus.

What exactly do you think mushrooms are?

Dude, I'm a Veggie and have nothing against Vegan food, we eat quite a lot as a family. We do enjoy our diet, we usually have some Quorn every week, the mince is especially versatile!

I just like to know what I'm eating, some other readers of this post might be interested too.

That's why I listed the ingredients.

I tried one last week. I usually like Quorn products but these were vile! 🤮. I felt sick for hours afterwards and had to throw the other one in the bin.

Given that sounds like food poisoning maybe look at how you cooked it or how the store you bought it from stored it? Good move binning the rest but I would have taken it further with the supplier rather than wasting my time sharing that here. Look on the bright side if it was off meat or chicken you could have been properly ill for days!

It wasn’t food poisoning - the flavour was so awful, and I couldn’t get rid of the aftertaste, so I felt nauseous. I often like this after eating foods I don’t like.

Bit dramatic, or maybe see a doctor if this is true as that is not normal. wish you well
