Beans and green leafy vegetables are an excellent source of protein.

you have to eat a ridiculous amount to match the protein gram for gram against quorn

There are 21g of protein in 100g of pinto beans, 19g in chickpeas, 24g in kidney beans, 9g in lentils, 6g in baked beans, 36g in soybeans. Spinach only has 3g per 100g, kale only 4.3g

There are 14g of protein in 100g of Quorn meat free chicken pieces, 14.5 per 100g of Quorn meat free mince.

So, yeah green leafy vegetables, but no to beans.

wow pinto beans there's a party in your mouth for sure! not many people can get a100g of beans down them easily and not feel bloated, quorn is way easier to eat and digest, as a vegetarian athlete I've been down every nutrition route going including the beans route, IMO it was the worst, 1 meal with lost of beans would leave me full and bloated for way too long and often shipping the next meal, so getting less protein overall.

Love Quorn products. Can't find these anywhere. HOT if you can though.

Not all protein is equal, some have low or even lack certain amino acids. Quorn is a complete protein, in that it has at least some of all the amino acids.

Indeed you are correct about the complete protein comment.

The taste however leaves a lot to be desired. It has anecdotally been described as being similar to cardboard many times in the past. I suspect this may be true.

Anyway consumers themselves can decide for themselves before buying.

I'll get my coat..

Just to let you know, there's a couple new Quorn deals popped up which you haven't yet said "Tastes like cardboard. Cold. I'll get my coat...".

I've seen them in on and off since I posted deal. I go to Heron's almost daily as they have one on my estate so tend to drop in one way to do school runs. There one in my town centre but it's not as good and even a friend of mine saying same thing yesterday.

This is beautiful. I love it. Nice price too. Quorn / Vegan products are so expensive, it's ridiculous. Heat added.
