From Dealspwn newsletter:

An original platforming classic, Qwak is old enough to order a scotch on both sides of the Atlantic. It enjoyed a debut way back in the day in 1989 on the old BBC Micro and Acorn Electron, before being updated in 1993 and given a spit and a polish by Team 17 for the Amiga. And now you can get your hands on it for a penny if you want, although, as the site explains, Paypal nicks the entirety of anything under 30p.

Offer ends 22nd January.

looks rubbish and I can't pay 0p so not really pay what you want

Gd deal, I didn't like it though.

This is a classic platform game - and excellent with 2 players. I paid full price when the guy released it last year. It has kept the kids happy for hours.

Bearing in mind that you can pay anything from 1p upwards - you can't go wrong.

WTF! I added heat bringing it up to a massive +3..........

Looked a few mins later and some idiots have been smacking the negatives on!!! It's cost is 1p or more - thats ONE PENCE for a FULL PC GAME!

AND IT IS COLD! If this is not a HOT deal then I am a dickwad!

Banned

Hi dickwad! :-D Although surely it must get hotter ...?

I used to play this on my Amiga years ago.....brings back memories. HOT!

But then if it looks rubbish, you don't want it, so it's a moot point, really.

Voted hot, it looks good.

Superb!

Support the little guy, and indie game development.

HOT!

Hot,

Cannot believe ppl on this site sometimes,
Pc game for as little as 1p, got to be hot surely ?
if it keeps the kids quiet for 10mins, as the mastercard ad goes - priceless.

Thanks OP

'ps. Less than 30p, and PayPal takes it all!'

I only paid a penny - only saw that after I had bought the game. Is there an address I can send a penny to?

yet if someone was to post a link to a film containing naked men rolling around on each other the heat rating would shoot up almost as quick as their **** regardless of the price.

Paid £2, less than the price of a Big Mac.

The guy gets NOTHING if you pay less than 30p, the price of a newspaper. Support people like this, even if it's 50p or £1.

Paying 1p is just insulting, you might aswell just pirate it if you're going to do that.

Pay - To give money to in return for goods or services rendered.

But if you were able to, you wouldn't actually be paying. As you can't pay nothing...doesn't make any sense.

This has been posted twice before, but then it mysteriously gets completely deleted from this site.

No explanation. No history. It just vanishes which is pretty annoying as I want to read people's view on whether
it is a good game or not. Or perhaps this is some sort of scam ????

Can anyone explain why HotUKDeals is doing this ?

nice one. It's worth a shot I suppose. Gave the guy £1.50

Apparently it was because the website was registered to an individual and not a company.

EDIT: Good game btw, will be buying it again for the gf's son once I'm in wages again...

Paul Hegarty wont be pleased

I actually paid a lot more than a penny when I brought a copy for this on the GBA. Worth supporting games like this.

Pfft, crashes every time I try to run it. Waste of £1.50

People seem to keep forgetting the reason for hot and cold votes, surely if its a game you don't know anything about, you can't really condemn it as cold for 1p.

Also, yes, while these 'pay what you want' things are a bit of a marketing strategy, the little independent guys have to do what they can to get noticed with little or no advertising budget, and surely it's worth taking a punt of a pound or so?

I've got a fair number of indie games in my steam account, and while they're not all classics, it's a lot easier to justify hoping that spending £2 on a game will give an hour's fun, instead of the usual £40-50 investment on say...Modern Warfare 2 (about 5-6 hours long from what I hear).

Not played it yet but worth the donation. Hot
