Qwertee is a nerdy daily tshirt site, I've been buying from them for years, there's different prints every day.

Today's print is reduced from the regular £9 to £4 and €1 of that goes toward the WHO covid-19 solidarity response fund.

Its a fun design and money goes towards a good cause. Win win

Wow didn't think it would have such a negative response.. I think the £3 …Wow didn't think it would have such a negative response.. I think the £3 covers their costs and the rest goes to the fund.Didn't mean to upset anyone, we all need to smile now and then.. I was scared I was going to lose my mum the other day as she has corona and an ambulance was called to her house. So I'm very aware of this diseases effects but I thought a bit of light hearted fun along with a donation was a nice idea.

Some people lack a sense of humor and for many a sense of humor is what will see them through this!

Its the neigh sayers that are the selfish ones dictating how people should feel and react when something that offends there sensitive nature gets posted. In this case a cheap humorous T shirt that benefits a related charity, what's not to like and If you don't like it don't buy it's that simple.

I have purchased both this T and a traditional plague mask (which I wear answering the door) and I fully intend to fight this crappy disease all the way with a sense of humor!

I would rather go out with a smile on my face then a bitter one!

Heat from me OP

Calm down everyone, they're not offensive or insensitive. Nor are they profiteering by over pricing products, however they are donating money to charity.

Yes the current situation is bad but there are too many people in this world who wish to be offended by everything and remove humour from everything.

So let's just all chill and look at the merits rather than trying to find fault.

Qwertee provide high quality tee shorts. I don't think they can be making much off these & if it helps to spread & underline a very important message in a humorois non-hectoring way I'm all for it. When this dredful period is over it might even become a collectors item.
The shirts I've bought from them in the past are pretty good quality. Considering the donation they're making and the knock down price I can't imagine they're doing this to make money. That said, it's a bit ironic if you see someone out in the streets wearing this
Fortunately, imposed isolation means you will never encounter a clown out in the streets wearing this

£4 for the t shirt, minus the cost of the t shirt £1 at the very most minus £1 donation equates to a £2 profit and no doubt some more profit on the postage, so they will be making money based on the variable costs, but after all they are a business and have costs outside the raw materials

You know you could just ignore those who don't agree with you. Your rant-post about the neigh sayers being selfish and directing people how to feel is just you doing the same in reverse, and ironically lacking a sense of humour over it

It's same with these idiots such as small food shops where they sell SMALL hand sanitizer 50ml for £5.99
I bought their last Calpol for my kids other day for £9.99 normal price £3.29 Boots. So many shops even the ones Eastern European foods have done the same. Why don't government sends inspectors in these shops to shut them down.

So am I, but people are allowed to deal with this in ther own way (that's the point) a cheap parody T Shirt (with actually a serious message) which benefits the cause is not really the same as your corner shop profiteering on hand sanatiser/calpol

Replace cat with wife (i know it's only been a week)

Putting humour aside (something the manufacturer already has) why would someone in the UK buy something so obviously yank?

Presumably a parody of the Kitchener poster, how many of the type who might unfortunately consider purchase would even know of the original campaign publicity?

A handy diversion from another 3 months isolation though 😷😬

For the message on that Tshirt to get across you'd need to wear it outside.

Absolute stupidity from the makers.

Probably the 100’s of people you’re stood in queues with??
Well.. It's triggered an interesting debate if anything.. I fell down the side of let's try and add a little light hearted humour into our miserable locked down situation.. And this is coming from someone who's mum has quite severe symptoms and a few days ago I thought she was going to be taken to icu.

We need to keep our humour about us sometimes.

However I understand the reaction and don't mind that this is super cold lol

Just while you're all debating remember everyone deals with bad situations differently.

I for one bought the shirt because

A/ its my favourite shirt company, I have over 80 qwertee shirts
B/ some money goes towards the who fund
C/ I can wear it afterwards when we're out the other end of it to remind people why it's important to keep good hygiene!

I would have liked a tshirt saying something like, if you can read this you too f,in close. Or would you stand this close if i had a knife?
We were told weeks ago to keep our distance but people were still trying to bum blast you in queues, and supermarkets are only now getting ther acts together. Perhaps people will now learn else we go to spanish model of form filling to leave house, no more than one in a car (no family outings to shop), no outdoor exercise, dogs only to be walked 50m from home and back.

Stay safe everyone.

I went to morrisons yesterday and they had spaced queues outside and only letting a certain amount of people in at a time that was great.. Yet I still had people tail gating me out the store.. People just don't get it

bless, imagine using the term 'making money out of death' unironically in reference to a t-shirt that outlines government guidelines in a light hearted way, that is being sold at over 60% below its normal price while giving a quarter of the cost to the charity response fund. i'd have a good look at the world if i was you and see who really makes money out of fear, death and disease.

So, you're not popping to the shops for essential supplies, going out for your one exercise a day?
