Worn loads of outdoor jackets before, rab is by far the best brand i've owned for outdoors. Great deal.

How warm do these jackets keep you?
    1) are they resistant against strong wind?
    2) they look quite thin, are they going to keep you nice and warm in cold weather e.g -3°C

What @Mattso said, plus, the Cirrus is their synthetic down, which is not quite as warm as their natural down, but better suited to our (Uk) climate.

I don’t have this model, but what I hear is that it is better suited to moments when you are stopped and waiting, rather than moving as it is so warm.
I own the Flex version which has fleece side panels for extra ventilation, so it’s more of a working jacket.

Just FYI I price matched this in-store at Go Outdoors this afternoon. Easy process as they’re both owned by the JD group. Just showed them the website at the tills.

Getting more use out of this than my bulky winter coat. Winters in the UK are too mild for the big coats save for the odd snow day. This is perfect.

Boyf has a similar jacket (okay, not as expensive) Columbia Powder Lite with the silver thermo dots lining (I think this Rab jacket has something similar, read contradictory specs on different listings) and he wears it (nearly) all the time, all year round.

He also has a thicker Columbia Horizons Pine 3 In 1 jacket / coat for stormy / snowy days but he wears the light puffy one the most.
    ooglewoogle's avatar
....but does he have a man-bun?

Bargain. Tried this and the Montane Icarus and marginally preferred the Montane, but you can't go wrong with either. Ultimate Outdoors are a top retailer as well.
