nice one, cheers...

Thanks OP! Heat Added

Now watch Amazon drop their price so the fanboys (and Camel users) remain under the delusion that "hey Amazon is just such great value and as cheap as anywhere else!" You carry on.....

I'm getting £8.99 ? oO

One spanner is good enough,

It's been this reduced price for a while. I bought this for aroun 12.99 euro in Republic some three weeks ago. It's a good set - the textile case rolls nicely and avoid rattling noises if you decide to leave it in your cars boot.

im getting 8.99 too. Reserved and will be buying. Just hope they are good quality.

Thanks heat added, showing as £8.99 for me too!

Just reserved one at 8.99 from Hemel Hempstead branch

reserved for me and a mate, all within 5 days tho
If amazon price match in this time with Prime Ill just order there haha

thank you

just clicked on link & its £8.99 heat added

£8.99 - excellent - just reserved

Just wanted to follow up in case someone else wanted to purchase these in the future. I picked mine up yesterday, thinking they'd be OK, as the three pliers in the picture looked very similar to my £7 draper ones which are excellent quality. I was very disappointed when I got home and opened them. Absolute appalling quality. The pliers jaws don't meet, they're stiff, rusty, gunky, and the plastic handles slide about. The quality of the metal of the self locking pliers is very poor, thin, and would probably break with too much pressure. I doubt the water pump pliers would last long with the metal being soft the adjustment notches would probably wear away. The only item that looks OK are the spanners and adjustable wrench, despite looking cheap. For £10 it's very poor, for the RRP of £20, well...

If you want poor quality, save your money and go to pound land as I've had poundland tools which are much better quality than these. If you just want a decent set of pliers then Draper ones from amazon are fantastic for the price amazon.co.uk/Dra…2O/ set up a price alert as I got mine for £7.

I saw your post and thought should I bother going to collect mine, had a look at the reviews on the argos page and thought why not.
Mine are fine, plier jaws meet up and handles don't move but you could be right about the water pump pliers, only time will tell on that one.

I'm glad your set was ok! Maybe I just drew the short straw, I've taken some photos, because the ones I received really are terrible. I've bought a fair share of cheap tools in my life (and some expensive) these have to be some of the worst! Though seeing is only half of it, despite soaking in WD40, the pliers still don't open or close fully, and are still quite stiff. As I mentioned the other tools seem OK, but minus the 3 pliers I just don't see it being worth £10.

The photos I took in their fully closed state, they won't close any more!

Thanks so much for posting again with pictures, I see what your saying, looks like you got a duff set there, are you going to try and get a exchange ?

I bought them to give to my Brother in-law as they've just got their first house, and don't have many tools. But think I'll just get a refund and get together a more personalised set for Christmas or something. I would have probably asked to see another set when I take them back due to yours being fine, but you have to order them in which takes 5 days etc. so I don't think I'll bother. Strangely enough, I was looking at them earlier and the teeth on some of the pliers seem like they've been worn down, so maybe they're returns!
