Anyone got any thoughts on this camera? Any good?
Which? Edited highlights (lowlights)... excellent for £15 though, they were judging it at a £60 price point.

Night-time footage is of low quality, and daytime footage isn't a lot better.
Despite the addition of the 4G lens, the footage is only average in our tests.
In the daytime, motion is captured relatively well although some noise and overexposure crept in. The level of sharpness isn't bad but we did notice that footage looked slightly soft and it would benefit from showing more detail.

Recordings were worse at night. They suffered from graininess and the moderate noisiness that came up in daytime footage is much more obvious. The way it records motion is adequate, but overall it has poor low-light sensitivity.

Sound on this dash cam is average. Sensitivity isn't bad and in-car noise is still audible.
Unlike some rival dash cams we've seen, there is no list of the recordings on the device itself, so you'll have to check each video to find the one you're looking for.

Off topic I know but what are your thoughts to the old YI action camera yitechnology.com/yi-…era as a dash cam?

Bought a couple instore; they were not on the shop floor but the sales assistant got some from the back. They rang through the till at £39.99 each, but after showing the manager the webpage they reduced them to the advertised £14.99. Thanks @jason.thorley
Am I missing something here?

Are are these type of cameras not just for collisions, to prove you were not at fault to an insurance company? Does it really need to be top quality HDR to prove that!

For me I want the quality in order to see/recognize number plates in case of hit & run, also for night vision. I may be wrong but @ least I now have peace of mind
Unless the camera is not fit for purpose it will still pick up number plates.
