Rx 590 benchmark just been leaked. Hopefully there will be a little battle to shift 580 stock.
I have a 580rx and it's perfect for 1080p and some 1440p gaming. Good price too... Can't beat £120.55 on a glitch from Amazon but hey, we can't all be me. ;-)
Is this worth the extra £30 over Rx 570 8gb

Its ~10-12% faster, for ~18% more cost. You gonna miss that £30? Then don't spend. If you aren't, then it's not terrible value for money. It's not amazing, but not the worst either.

Here's a review of both cards:

It's got plenty of benchmarks to give you a good idea of performance at 1080p and 2160p.

I personally would go with the RX 580.
If you have a freesync monitor even better

The trouble with that train of thought is there are attractive GPUs at all price points, you can just 'keep adding £30' and you'll see a new, shinier tier.

If you can afford 250-280, I would wait a little bit and grab a 1070. I think that's the best card at 1080p for a long time.

(Expired deal, but this is what I'd tell people to aim for).

They are performing 30-35% faster than the 580 at 1080 and 50% faster at 1440p.
I am thinking of getting this to upgrade my son' s old Dell XPS 8700 which currently has a GTX 570. Will I need to upgrade the PSU? It still has the stock one which apparently is 460 W. The GTX 570 which has been running perfectly fine has a PSU requirement of 550W and for RX 580 is 500W. Also, I will be looking to sell these 3 games the card comes with. I suppose they will be Steam keys? Where can you sell those? Thank you.

It should be fine. It's recommended to have a 500W PSU but it's not the minimum requirement. You won't have much headroom so don't overclock your CPU or graphics card.
This particular graphics card has a power draw of 185W.

Yes the games will be Steam or Uplay keys. I don't know where you can sell them.

How did you manage to get it for that? Assume it was a third-party seller?

No it was directly from Amazon. They had it at around £120 at some point, pre-order, then it dropped to £102. Some were cancelled but not all

I ordered it at £275 and it wouldn't ship for months and months. They then dropped the price, I held on, never cancelled and amazingly it shipped at that. Think it was a technical error.
Heat for AMD and for not ebuyer.
