Why does this card score so low on gpu charts? Am I right in thinking a 1060 6gb will out perform this?
Think he means 9am tomorrow
Yes it’s live 9am tomorrow morning. Just a heads up in case you wanted one cheaper than they are selling at the moment.

Not the fastest card but it’s relatively cheap in today’s crazy prices.
Is this online only, or can you go to overclockers shop and get for £299.99 does anyone know please?

generally the 6GB 1060 is slightly above the RX580 8GB for the majority of games but practically, you probably won't notice a difference between them
Which card is quieter and less power hungry?

Not sure which is quieter pretty sure that depends on the make of the card. But 1060 drains a lot less power than 580.

So why buy this over 1060 8GB fir a similar price ?
I have an rx480 4gb I would love to srll for 250
good for ethereum and cryptonight not soo hot for lyra or equihash. Fine for gaming @1080p. Price is great for uk paid 315 euros for some rx570 8gb that have been backordered for 2 months.

There's only 3gb and 6gb versions of the 1060

Freesync monitors are like £100-£200 cheaper than G-sync monitors.
Thanks OP, just ordered
Good find!

It’s about the best you’ll find at the moment especially for an 8GB card. It will mine just fine but I don’t think it has Samsung memory.

Both are monsters that draw over a hundred watts, a desktop isn't the route to go down if you want to minimise power consumption.

Quieter will depend on the exact card you're comparing it to, not the GPU. Powercolour cards do tend to be a little on the noisy side though.

1060 power draw is far lower than that of the 580.

Yep and a tad faster while using less power... 1060s are pretty hard to pick up new for this price though - near enough impossible even so the savings on power won't justify getting one

Which charts? If anything it's the opposite (although i suspect most 1060s can OC to equal or overtake 580s, while reducing/nullifying the power consumption advantage)

"Overall, the RX 580 was faster than the GTX 1060, albeit by an insignificant margin."

Sure, and one supercar might do 15mpg while another does 8mpg. 15mpg is far lower fuel consumption, but it still couldn't remotely be described as low.

When you can play Skyrim on the Nintendo switch using 12W for the entire system, nobody's going to be getting their gaming thrills from a PC if power consumption is anywhere near the top of their list of priorities.

Great info Arnold, well worth a quick watch for those who have no idea what any of that is

Well done @mastablasta for a fab find and informing the hukd community of gamers / other users of this card, alike, well worth buying if you cannot get anywhere near the stupid money that a 1060/1070 costs at the mo.

Also, if you want more than one, you can order multiples by using a rev vcc or any other vdc/vcc mastercard or visa checkout card, that is not linked to paypal or via your OCL account details
£299? What's the normal price without this deal? I'm pretty sure it's around that price before... correct me if I'm wrong people
They also have some 1060 6GB in at £319 / £329 - now I'm torn... I was thinking, is there any life left in mining, and any point with a single card rig... and could I host the 185W TDP card and 65W TDP CPU on my spare rig with a 300W decent (FSP 80+) PSU?

Would be a better power margin with the 120W GTX160 - Actually, I'd probably be safer swapping the decent 500W from my main rig (125W Phenom II & GTX 750Ti) and giving that the 300W
Where would be a good Place to Sell A GTX 1060 eBays fees are off-putting

Just turn the voltages down for the Radeon to a safe level around 900mv then its pretty much silent 100% of the time (in my case) - and 900mv is more than enough for gaming.

My two are Hynix and for my casual mining they get the average of 30-30.5mh/s
Got my card yesterday, which had micron memory, and it is already pulling 30.5 M/hs

Hynix on nvidia cards is terrible glad to hear that it's not such a big problem on AMDs as I have a bunch on pre-order.

I built a load of systems for one of our customers using the Red Devil cards and they had Hynix, but then the Red Dragon (lesser cards), came with Samsung, so it's a bit of a lottery. I decided to keep the ones we were using in check for power consumption so didn't push them all that far but the Hynix ones definitely won't OC and run tight and stable timings like the Samsungs.
