Actually in stock!
Ok so not deal of the century but at least around the price they should be and includes Quake Champions PC Game. Even better if you can collect from their store in Staffordshire as delivery is another £10

Hopefully the mining bubble has started to deflate as my local C(rack) EX(change) has 2 8gb 480s for the now lower price of 270 each and a 6gb 1060 for 260.

Gotta love their pricing of used stuff at more than the cost of better stuff new!

Well that didn't take long. Now on for the dreaded pre-order. Can't be any worse than Amazon's pre-orders, can it?!

Still have no idea were they get 10 quid delivery from, They must make a good 3-4 quid extra on every order.

It's way worse than any Amazon pre-order, they take you money upfront, rather than when the item is dispatched. AVOID!

Paying despatch staff
Packing materials
Complying with legislation regarding recycling/WEEE
Maybe don't have the numbers to negotiate a bulk postage deal like Amazon etc

If using PO a small parcel signed for costs best part of £4 with minimal weight once you start getting above a kilo it starts to rapidly increase.

Just remember p&p isn't just literally the cost of postage it's everything else that goes with it too.

I see you that and raise you it's because Overclockers are money grabbing scum. I personally hate them and, all being well, they will never see any of my money again.

Insuring the parcel costs a lot to,depending on the courier.

hate to disagree but companies have deals with courier companies and pay surprisingly little. companies pay far far less than indivuals or small businesses

Sorry, But when your primarily an online organisation, I don't find £8.70 delivery on 8GB of ram as being acceptable.

I love bathing in the glory of the free shipping that I get with them.

how many gflops?

My local gumtree has a guy sellong 8x rx 470s at 165 each... Looks like bitcoin bubble over. I bought my rx 470 for 150 new and they were 300 plus on ebay before long. I looked up profitability on crypto earlier today and didn't seem to be there for bitcoin or ethererum anymore but maybe there for etehereum classic... 80 quid if I leave my pc on all year?!

Proof bubble over? Bitcoin still crazy priced but rx 470s no longer profitable due to increased mining difficulty?

They weren't really using them for bitcoin this year. The idiots were buying them up for that Ethreum nonsense instead. I guess that must have come to an end.

Nothing involving this particular merchant is glorious.

Arent overclockers selling Intel CPU's for £600-700 (normal price £250'ish) as they are pre-binned by 8pack and gtd to overclock to 5.0ghz ...

Is customer service really not a thing anymore?! I guess that's what happens when we use online companies.

I see it now shows as in stock on Overclockers. Amazon also have them up for pre-order for £248.99, so maybe if not in stock on OC's, MAYBE Amazon the better bet for pre-order (who knows!)

Surely a far quicker way to tell whether mining has died/is-no-longer-profitable is to look at a site like whattomine.com and enter (for example) one RX 580 and $0.20 per kWh:32287873-NSgTR.jpg

Which currently gets you less than $1 per day. Guess if can use the waste heat to heat your house/room AND if you already bought the cards it makes sense to continue, but from a ROI point of view mining anything* hasn't made sense in months.

*well aside from speculation mining: as in find a new coin at launch, mine it and hope that the price goes up. But that's pure gambling.

oh thanks I was trying to work it out from other sites but was having to search the hashrate for different currencies

Even if full load mining is not the same as full load gaming, and taking into consideration undervolting, downclocking the memory etc., I would think even one PC mining will make enough noise to be hard to tolerate unless you are someone who can sleep with earplugs!

The positive I'm taking from this 'deal' is that they still remain in stock, even if the price has increased slightly to £259.99, so demand is clearly lower than it has been. Hopefully the price for 570's will come down a bit to below £200 at some point.

Amazon has these up for pre-order for £245.99, if anyone still wants one:
amazon.co.uk/gp/…new

Lets hope a few more manufactueres do a major re-stock in time for black Friday

Now even cheaper @ 239.99!!
