Reduced even further - now down to £239.99

Its worth noting the cooling shroud on this card does protrude into 3rd pci slot - so will obsrtuct any cards being installed next to it.

Equivalent to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (stock reference spec).

Which was actually announced today.

Didn't see that coming. Intel's CPU power and AMD GPU power inside of a PlayStation 5 that sounds amazing.

This announcement is for laptop chips.
Not sure AMD will be so keen to share the profits from console chips.

I WAS hoping for intel graphics embedded on an Amd CPU... yaeah

The Red Devil for an extra 20 squid is the better bet.

At 270 quid, you are getting awfully close to the 'just buy a 1070' range.

It's pulling in 230 Watts, as opposed to 150 Watts from the 1070.

this 80 Watts difference isn't free. That's 70 - 100 p per month. (4 hours a day usage).

So if you keep it for 3 years, that's 25-36 quid, it's not completely irrelevant.

Gaming at 100% gpu usage for 4 hours everyday for 3 years..

Think of all the sexy moments you are missing

I agree with you. I wouldn't buy a 580 at this price point unless I had Freesync. Just stating that if you want a 580, the PCB is better on the Red Devil for 20 pounds more.

No matter what, I wouldn't trust them, I would go for someone like Sapphire or Gigabyte etc.

If you're talking about the Buildzoid PCB breakdown video (of the RX 480 Red Devil): yes he did say that the PCB wasn't the greatest but he also made a follow up video saying that, at stock clocks or an overclock the average person might do (on the stock Bios), the PCB would be fine.

Whether the RX 580 carried over the same design as the RX480, I don't think most of us are qualified to judge. I'm not defending Powercolor but lets not spread rumours based on a video of an old card.

If you're talking about other, more specific information on this card, please feel free to share.

Personally, I would prefer to have a Sapphire but that's partly due to the design of the card

BTW - this is currently available to pre-order on Amazon for £239.99 with free delivery... but who knows when they'll actually have stock...

Still wouldn't trust them, prefer Sapphire myself but the design of the card looks like a cheese grater and don't like it, prefer the older R9 300 series design much better

I have a Sapphire R9 380 and can confirm it is a great looking card and runs nice and cool. Sadly it's been suffering from coil whine for most of the time I've had it.

Weird, my R9 380X NITRO hasn't suffered from coil wine yet and I've had it since launch basically and yes it's a great looking card too

From what I've heard, getting coil whine is just the luck of the draw. I don't think it affects performance at all, it just gets a little annoying if I'm running a graphically-demanding game/a game at high FPS, because not only do I hear the coil whine coming from my PC, but it seems to somehow leak through my headphones if I plug them into my front jack.

excellent!! cheers!!

Will this go well with the ryzen CPU that was hot the other day?

The R5 1600? Absolutely!

Now up to £248.99. Does anyone know of anywhere this (or similar) is cheaper?
