Cold as London today!
Weren't these £400 on release ???
Lol.
ROI would be 8-12 months now.
RRP was 390. That was the time to buy - and I was lucky enough to buy then.
Screw ocuk - they're trying to steal mining profits.
Way overpriced still. Should be in the 300 to 400 bracket for the performance you get outside of mining
price slashed?

price slashed?

Yeah, and they're now only about 75% more expensive than rrp.
I guess it could be classed as a “deal” as it’s not available cheaper as far as I know, but surely no one in their right mind (excluding miners) could possibly want to pay this much for this card.
Has to be cold for me
I was waiting for a decent custom Vega 56 to come out but got so fed up in the end. Cracked and bought a custom 1080ti back for about the same price as this just a few months back. No regrets at all now, seeing how the prices have gone totally bonkers on graphics cards lately.

Nah I wouldn't buy at this price as a miner.

Really?!? Wouldn’t have guessed haha. Without mining wouldn’t be in this mess in the first place
Got to be a troll post...
I remember when these cards released
some posted it as a deal, they all went cold, I remember the comments were "just buy a GTX 1070" for cheaper and the same performance

It was I think but miners r**ed the prices

Even then people were saying the RRP was overpriced, they just regret it.. I know I do

AMD and Nvidia need to hurry up and release mining cards and possibly make the Gaming cards worthless to mine on and Make the mining cards unable to game well, I don't know if they can do this

Would you also like cars with no luggage space and vans with no passenger seats.

The real problem is manufacturers haven’t risen to the production requirement challenge. At the same time they should have introduced buying restrictions on retailers. Sell under our rules or don’t get stock.

At the end of the day the GPU companies need to make money. The winners are retailers as I doubt cost prices have risen much.

Bro all good, but the part about setting buying restrictions on retailers is wrong, thats not how the market works that would just make the market growth and availability even worst.
The PC GPU market needs to adapt or it will end up collapsing due to used market being flooded or new GPU manufacture startups. I'm really surprised we haven't seen more Chinese GPU/memory tech being made. Give enough demand it wouldn't take much convincing.

True, we need more then AMD and Nvidia as the lead
They have the monopoly
It's a similar thing with Xbox and PS4 they're the only Major Consoles who are making a powerful console, Nintendo doesn't count since it's different
