This and the red dragon been this price for a for days at a few places. I wouldn’t be buying at this price and hold out for a BF deal
Not an impressive price. Suggest to wait for a 64 for a similar price
Folks just a bit of advice, I'm being offered a reference blower vega 64 for 185 preowned. Is this worth it and is it a worthy upgrade over a 290x. I game at 2k resolutions mainly. My biggest concern is the heat of the gpu.

the red dragon and the pulse vega 56 cards are pretty good with thermals. The pcb is only half the length of the heatsinks so the 3rd fan can blow directly through the heatsink fins.

Better off going with this. warranty and superior cooler. Clock for clock tthey are less than 5% apart so just undervolt/oc the 56.
Might as well grab a reference 5700 at this price. Even some of the XTs aren't that much more.
I'm guessing with a reference blower style vega 64 card, I would have issues though unless I did a few tweaks?

I've got a MSI Vega 56 Air Boost (Blower) connected to an i7 3770 with 16 GB 1600 ddr3 ram Red Dead 2 @ 1440p at high settings and it looks great:

Thanks mate, so to answer my own question £185 for a reference vega 64 blower is a bargain
LMAO @ these outlets trying to get rid of old unsold stock as "deals". There's a good reason it wasn't sold.
More expensive than last year!!

Are they the best Vega 56 cards overall or just for cooling?
With the current cashback deal on overclockers isnt the 5700 a lot better at £250?

The Sapphire card has the highest chance of having Samsung hbm, making it the best overclocker. The cooling solution is also one of the better designs.

Can confirm, I luckily got a Samsung hbm2 from ocuk for 299 about 6 months ago and flashed to Vega 64, thing is a beast and runs very cool.

Do you mind me asking which firmware you used? I haven't actually gotten around to flash mine yet. Did you also undervolt it, or just flash and leave it?

I think if I recall correctly it was the xfx 64 that has the small nano PCB also, that's the bios I used and flashed using atiflash. I managed to undervolt it slightly, my card was already hitting about 1630mhz before the flash but what I was able to do was increase the hbm2 by about 200mhz as it allowed me to increase memory voltage. Good luck if you try mate.
