B&Q had these a few weeks ago - identical ones - same prices. They're pretty good and easy to assemble. We're v happy with ours - voted hot:

Cheap enough price but you lose at lot of heat by having these things on the rads had to turn the thermostat up to max so they had to go in the end.

Look good but not for the eco friendly as heat is lost and more energy (and money) used.

Thought the idea of these was that the heat was not lost?

Yes that stands to reason, the manufacturers would have you believe they help with efficiency, not hinder!

Sending the heat outwards as opposed to just upwards?

Is this your opinon on the subject or something you have read or are you an energy expert?

Does a radiator cabinet waste the heat emitted by my radiator?

'No. In fact the innovative design means that cold air is drawn in at the gap at the bottom and pushed through the vent in the top. This means that heat comes into the room rather than straight up the wall, collecting at ceiling level'

'If your radiator is under a window, this prevents the heat from going up behind the curtains and being wasted'

True or false?
