Seems a cracking reduction in price compared to elsewhere. Buy instore or £2.99 p&p. There's also 4% through Quidco.

This amazing blisteringly, fast Remote Controlled Twin Propellor EP Racing Boat is exhilarating! This RC Racing Boat is powered by 2 powerful motor spinning propellers. Power comes from a included standard Sub C Nicad Pack (as used in tamiya cars) which will give around 15 minutes of runtime after fully charged. The boat is powered by twin 380 Type racing motors which produce tremendous power. Professionally designed and manufactured PC twin-propeller which not only provides huge thrust to speeds of 15-20mph, but it's durable as well. Imagine that! 15-20mph and it's not even gas-powered!

Features:
Large radio controlled boat - 700mm in length!
Dimensions: 252(w) x 155(h)mm
Powered by 2 powerful 380-type high power motors for high speed action!
Large torsion propellers
Range; approximately 40 metres
Includes 7.2V NiCd rechargeable battery and charger
Charge time approximately 5 hours
Requires 6 x AA batteries for controller (sold separately)

The video on the Maplin site's quite impressive! Though you may want to checkout the FAQ there as the spec is a bit limited with there apparently being just ONE frequency - ie find a boating lake with no other user - and just 12 minutes running time apparently - ie best to "hug the coast" and take your wellies

always wanted a RC boat and for just under 23 notes you cant go wrong!! Was 22.97 delivered which is still ace!!!

I have had the same ones imported couple years back from Germany via ebay. They are quick and easy to use but propellers fragile and the motor gets hot quick so you should not really keep running motor till battery flat which takes about 10 mins!...I have a supply batteries. They need relatively calm water for stability, plenty space and easy to tip in wind when at speed. They prob go about 20mph and produce loud instant speed!

Thanks,

2 racing at the same time?? Thought they couldn't as there's only one frequency?

"Range; approximately 40 metres"

That coupled with a 10 minute battery life and I'd say definitely take your wellies!
