I don't really understand why anyone would buy information that is freely available on the internet?

Money to burn? Or to fill the recycle bin?

Seriously, what use is this magazine?

I think it's something of a Christmas tradition. Certainly is with most people I know.

can't remember the code though, i got it from MSE i think

Ordered, thanks.

How difficult is it to cancel? Can it be done directly on the website?

Did this last years and cancelled the DD when the £1 had come out, I like sitting and planning my Christmas viewing. Sitting going through the films and starring the ones to watch I quite enjoy doing

You might as well say what is the point of any magazine or newspaper. This has TV listings, but also has lots of articles and interviews connected with TV shows. Some people like that. It also allows you to quickly have a look what's on, without having to start up the computer, and go on to the internet. Some people like that.

The 8 issues is still working, just ordered it now.

to get the radio time christmas one for the price of the normal one, make sure the radio times is in your usuals when shopping at tesco. On the week that the christmas edtion comes out order the normal and tesco will subsitute this for the christmas edtion you save about £1ish as tesco charge the price of the normal one

Took advantage of the 8 for £1 offer ... but thanks to OP for posting this one, otherwise I'd never have found the other offer.

I buy the RT regularly. Weird thing is that next weeks telly always looks better than this weeks oO

I did this last year, you have to ring to cancel, but they are fine & it's a 2 minute phone call - they don't do the hard sell or anything. Hot.

You don't have to ring them, I just cancel the DD once the £1 is taken and then email them letting them know.

Oh and thanks for both threads, I just ordered the 8 for £1 deal for my mum. I am receiving the mags from the 12 for £1 deal that was around a while ago but it expired before I could do one for my mum :-(

Subscribed for this offer on 5th December.

Was told my firs tissue would be sent out on 24th January - there was "nothing they could do" to get me the Christmas Issue.

Subscription cancelled.

For that reason, I vote cold.

I took up the subscription of 12 issues for £1 about 6 weeks ago and was intending to cancel after the 1st payment came out. I stupidly didn't read the direct debit confirmation letter properly when it came through and both payments came out on the same day, so read dd confirmation carefully when it comes through the post, because I didn't have a chance to cancel the £28 payment. Gutted I was haha! Live & learn I suppose
