A great way to get the overpriced xmas issue that I can't resist as I love to sit down with my highlighter pen going through all the stuff I know I'll never get round to watching just one of my little traditions

Subscription trials

A trial subscription is a short offer (5 issues for £5 for example) which then will automatically renew at the subscription rate advertised with the offer you redeemed. If you do not wish to continue after your trial ends, please inform us after you have received your first issue and we can cancel the automatic direct debit renewal.
You will continue to receive the remaining issues from the trial and then it will expire. Please remember to cancel the Direct Debit with your bank to ensure no further payments are taken.

Do you cancel soon as your first issue arrives?

Yes, once you have received first issue, then ring and cancel. You’ll still receive the remaining issues but make sure you cancel your direct debit too.

How do you go about cancelling? Do you just do it via your bank or on their site. Sorry for the questions just I've never done this before. Only getting them for my mam lol

We do that too - there's a load of stuff recorded from last Christmas...
It gives me a warm feeling knowing that I've recorded that stuff and will never watch it - it is like when the kids open each present, and know they won't play with it, but would be unhappy without it...

Ha ha, me too!
In the past I’ve just cancelled my DD and received a letter saying my DD has been cancelled and my subscription will end on ‘X’ day
I have never contacted them to cancel after the trial. I just cancel the direct debit.
Fab thank you, I got 12 last time but in all honestly only use it for the Xmas one so 6 is perfect. Heat added.
Thanks ordered for Christmas
Thanks. Ordered
Awesome deal. Ordered for myself and several others I know will be taking advantage too.

Thanks OP!
Many thanks have ordered
Great find, ordered to start with 03 Dec issue 🏻 I’ll follow Superpanda’s idea above & just cancel the direct débit as soon as I get my first issue
Great find! Thank you!

Hehe. In the age of streaming and not much on BBC I still like to get the Xmas Radio times just for nostalgia value and do the same as you with a highlighter pen lol

I've been doing this for the past few years. Don't think I've paid full price for radio time xmas issue for maybe around 10 years.

Wait for the £1 to come out, then cancel dd immediately the day after. No need to call anyone

Same. Usually get the 12 issues offer but a waste of paper after Xmas issue.
Giant crossword and the picture quiz are worth £1 on their own 😁

Have done this before but when I try to input my bank account number it says:

"Please check your Account Number, which must be eight digits long" and its definitely eight digits long

Hmmm
Are you copying and pasting? Check for a hidden space character.

Type it in rather than copy and paste.
And are you entering bank account where sort code should be etc?

Don't worry, just keep an eye out on these forums. It will be back on in a few weeks, probably with 12 issues for £1
