I was looking around for the cheapest pre-order of this, and spotted this bargain, which is comfortably cheaper than elsewhere, so thought I'd pop it up for any other Radiohead fans.

Radiohead announces KID A MNESIA, a multiple format triple-album release marking the 21st anniversary of Kid A and Amnesiac, out November 5th via XL Recordings.

KID A MNESIA collects Radiohead’s fourth and fifth albums alongside the debut of a newly compiled third disc titled Kid Amnesiae. Exclusive to this release, Kid Amnesiae is comprised of unearthed material culled from the Kid A / Amnesiac sessions. Along with alternate versions and elements of Kid A and Amnesiac album tracks and B-Sides, Kid Amnesiae features the never-before-heard "If You Say the Word” and a previously unreleased studio recording of "Follow Me Around.”

Have the red vinyl on order, worth it just to get them on two sides each instead of four!

Mp3 £23.97 on Amazon! I like Radiohead but that's ridiculous considering they've just been banging on again about climate change.

I'll just be happy if it isn't a crackly mess. Took me three goes to get a listenable copy of AMSP and my Kid A isn't brilliant.

Ok can you explain to me what the lyrics mean from one song on this album and why it's banging on about climate change, explaining the meaning of every lyric so we know it's a climate change song? As a massive Radiohead fan myself, good luck to you!

I'm referring to their Code Red Post on Facebook this week. I think it's hypocritical that the physical CD version cost less than the (I assume) far more environmentally friendly mp3 version.

On a wider note, it seems many bands that like to lecture their fans on such issues can't stop producing more and more vinyl variations of their work which is (along with shipping) surely detrimental to the green issues.

I'm all for protecting the planet which is why I find it a bit rich.

Completely agree. It's a joke the digital version is more expensive than the CD version

Because it costs twice as much?

All the time. They are (afaik) USA based; so when I've ordered anything I expect it to take some time to make it across the pond; but usually I get stuff within a week / ten days. I have never placed a pre-order though with Rarewaves, so I can't comment on the 'wait' time on a pre-order. But reliable? Yes, IMO. Often cheap, or cheapest and never had any complaints.

Why are you ordering it from Amazon? It's £15 from waste hq. I don't think Radiohead sets the Amazon pricing.

Take it you're in for a copy then @lucas.chatterton ?

I mean if posting that here at ~5 a.m and then liking your own post isn't a cry for help, I don't know what is

Does anyone know if the two original albums have been remastered in anyway or are they just the originals repackaged?

Kid A, remember hearing the playback in Sep 2000 just a week before seeing them. Definitely before its times that's for sure. People forget that it had no singles, no videos as such & lyrically minimal. 45 mins as well.

I'll admit not many bands can boast the best LP of all time " The Bends"

Definitely right about Pablo Honey, it's very mediocre but that was probably based on their material when they were called On A Friday

    The Bends
    OK Computer
    In Rainbows
    Kid A
    Hail To The Thief

    Best Of Best, all 10/10

Amnesiac was literally all part of the Kid A sessions and recorded at the same time just released 9 months later, not a fan of it.

Late to the party.... I like Pablo honey. It has its place. I was there from the start and I like to listen back to it. It reminds me of a most enjoyable past. Hand heart I didn't like ok computer the first time I listened to it coming from the bends but seeing them perform live back in the 90s it blew me away...

Doesn’t this seem to be unique to music? For example if one watches a film that hasn’t aged particularly well from the 90s now, it just feels cheesy, but music invokes memories and emotions and retains its status.

See, I never listed to Pablo Honey at the time (was only aware of Creep) and so it doesn’t do anything for me now. However, I bet if I stuck on Transvision Vamp or Bros or Tiffany they would trigger those feelings, despite them being crap.
