excellent album

one of my favourite albums

yea one of my all time faves, an awesome listen! cant complain for the cost of a cd single too! cheers.

p.s you missed the A from Airbag

One of the most overrated albums of all time.

This album turned me from being one of the biggest fans of Radiohead into absolutely HATING them.....they went from amazing, raw indie rock to dreary, depressing and boring claptrap!!! - the first 2 albums were by far and away their best stuff...after that it went horribly wrong, shame

THE BENDS was...and still is, one of my top 10 albums of all time.....THIS ALBUM (ok Computer) is probably in my bottom 3

I still think I'll regard this as my favourite ever album in the year 2050.

One of my absolute favourite albums ever. Such an epic journey of musical bliss. Shows Radiohead's true colours and in such style. No question - this is a hot deal.

superb album - from start to finish this is a masterpiece

Hahaha, Pablo Honey, Radiohead's best stuff!

I'm sorry, you can hate on the more experimental stuff as much as you like - I know it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea. Besides, The Bends is a classic rock album. But Pablo Honey?

Still, what do I know, I think Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief are their best albums, so I must be a bit strange.

People will forever be contrary. But this album is perfection for me.

Voted one of the best of all time but i agree - its sh te and nowhere near in the same league as The Bends((seen em at Leicester Uni Students Union in the early days (when they were good !) and they were superb))

Hallelujah !!! someone talking sense at last !!

When this album came out, Radioheads Bends album had made them huge and a massive fan base.....but, they released this DROSS which a lot of SHEEP FANS just followed and said it was amazing just because it was seen to be the album everyone should follow and it was cool to like the album....in reality it was a MASSIVE disappointment.

Just get 'Live at the Astoria' and you'll see what Radiohead were like when they were actually good and not now when they are a stuck up dreary bag of rubish!!

Personally, if you don't already own this you might as well buy the special edition instead. It comes with a second CD of b-sides and rarities (which being Radiohead, are all fantastic) and a DVD of the brilliant OK Computer tour video, Meeting People Is Easy. Rather than being a live set, it follows Radiohead behind the scenes. Its a briliant companin piece to the main album. Well worth the extra £7 or so for the extra discs.

best album bar none - an album you can stick on repeat and not get immune to its beauty

It's perfectly fine for you not to like something - everyone has different taste - but to personally attack anyone who does as "sheep" is petty and narrow-minded.

If you don't like this record, why are you on this thread, shouting about how wrong people are? Is it because you enjoy the image of 'not following the crowd'? Or does it just make you angry when people like different things from you?

Feel free to chime in with your opinions on the music, but stop the personal attacks.

Totally agree. One single, however, does not a classic album make.

Nope, I made no personal attacks, so stop trying to flare up something that isn't there.

The 'sheep' quote was just 'my' experience from when the album came out...so many people jumped on the bandwagon , many saying it was amazing before even listening to it, just because they were self proclaimed huge radiohead fans! It was almost laughable at the time.

At the end of the day everyone has their own musical taste...many people are fans of a band and rate everything they do be it good or not. I absolutely loved radiohead and loved The Bends, and after eagerly awaiting ok computer I was gutted that they had changed direction so much.

It's all about opinions isn't it. There is no right and wrong

:stocking:

Classic album, almost as good as The Bends.

So you believe bands should just churn out the same album, time and time again? I believe Status Quo is the band you're looking for.

Which is the main reason Status Quo havent lost a MASSIVE chunk of their fan base over the years...unlike dreary Radiohead.

Is Karma Police the most deppresing song youve ever heard??? AWFUL.

No, it's one of the best songs of the last 20 years. The Bends was great at the time, but time hasn't been kind to it. It sounds clunky, in fact it's been done to death by every mediocre indie kid band of the last 15 years. Music evolves..to just dismiss it as dreary shows a real lack of understanding of what music is. I didn't like OK Computer at first, but it gets better on every listen. The point you make about OK computer being heralded as an instant classic is a fair one though, people did seem to jump aboard a little too quickly for my liking.

You're entitled to your opinion of course, but I really do disagree completely on your 'dreary' comment. Some people call the Smiths depressing, which does my nut in.

(FYI, Radiohead have gone from strength to strength, they are more popular now than they've ever been. Look at last.fm)
