I will tell the Boss then! Heat from me.
And to you too! (y)
(y) Sounds like a good deal for you and your little one. Merry Christmas! (y)
This was the free book from Imagination Library this month. It has several small pictures on the page, telling the story, it’s a hit with my 4 yr old.
I managed to get a £1 subscription but my Christmas issue hasn't arrived yet - got my highlighter pen all ready!
Guess that's why I couldn't get a 1 quid subscription again this year!
It's just the same nowadays the only thing worth watching after midnight is babestation
Im assuming they ring up and try to sell a subscription with the free issue. Like 12 issues for £12 or something?
I'm always surprised this still exists! Shocked people pay for it.
Excellent OP - thank you.
Nobody mentioning the Radio Times website then as an alternative to the paper verison? TV listings at https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/tv-listings/ as well. Whatever you do, don't bother with the Radio Trimes in the Newsstand section of the Android Google News app - it turned into some sort of lifestyle auto-generated set of articles (only a few a week) a few years back with no TV/radio articles at all! Almost like RT had sold that space to the same company that does "top 10 ways to brush your hair" articles stuck automatically at the bottom of many websites.
Forget the circling, it was all about going through the Radio Times with a highlighter pen, different colours for each person.
You can print out a nice little wall chart from the BBC website:http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/bsp/hi/pdfs/2018_bbc_wcwallchart.pdf
He will be back again in four years though. Clever business
Blimey £2.80. Didn’t know it still existed. My grandparents used to have this with their programmes circled
bad business that, he accepted £2 and then you offered the service for lower!
would love the book ,but ive not bought a tv mag in ,must be 15 yrs :D
Digiguide is your tv friend these days, unless you're buying for the articles/features.
its 12 issues for a quid if you keep an eye out for their subscription offers on HUKD :) Possibly even free if you get the £1 quidco :)
I can't believe the Christmas double issue is £4.50. !!!!!!
Bought on the 12 issues for a £1 offer then got £1 cashback via Quidco. Now a free book so hot from me.
true enough - bit more going on in the footy though :)
Great! You get to watch 22 overpaid blokes dancing about for 90 minutes instead, with little to be heard from them lol.
rog - also says something about the TV grabbed by wife & kids :) I never get to watch it & don't particularly like watching TV on my monitor my luck is in as my daughter is in some dance performance at school & my wife has gone to watch her [yawn - I asked her what her words were & she said nothing/ apparently no words by anybody are spoken for 90 minutes!]
didn't know, thanks
although it is not free as you are required to have a tv license (up to you if you do or not ) if it was on youtube as bt did a while back then it is free gratis and 2 fingers to the bbc and their stupid fee :)
lets be pedantic and really annoy you, it is not a deal it is a freebie ;)
Calm down dear - plenty of people never go to Misc, full of such rude people, you can't blame them Nothing wrong with the occasional free-to-air footie match reminder here on Freebies though let's not make it a daily occurrence :)
Is this a joke? Reminders for tv programmes as deals?
I agree give this company a wide berth, avoid like the plague!
I signed up for this offer, they took my £1.00 on 16.03.2017 but I have not ' Received ' my Radio Times. I just rang them and they say it was NOT paid. Terrible customer service and for a measly £1.00 they want me to send proof! I cancelled the Direct Debit after they took my payment. I think it's not worth the hassle!
For some reason, I'm not getting every issue now - the last issue I had was 21-27 January, and today the issue for 4-10 February has turned up - this has happened twice now. I have called them but they have just said that it has been posted out?
I've had this subscription offer before and I got this year's no problem
Exactly what happened to me, but because I went through TCB, I still got £5.25 cashback for nothing.
Has anyone changed their plan from 2 screens (which the offer was for) down to one screen? I want to do that, but I don't want the credit I now have in my account to reduce accordingly. Has anyone given this a go?
Stacking worked good here as well, bought 5 copies and got first month free as new account (6 months total). Still shows credit on account. Thanks op
I played it safe and bought 3 magazines costing £6.90. I figured if they stopped code stacking then I wouldn't have lost out at all as it costs £7.50 a month anyway. It was a gamble, and some people did very well out of it.
Stacking these has worked a treat. My credit from 8 copies is still on my account.
Mine is looking good. I wish I'd gone harder on this deal now. The chances of using up a code that a purchaser would have wanted must have been so small but just think there were probably literally centuries of Netflix codes that just got pulped.
Decentbloke thank you for your polite reply though do observe that my posting includes 'The price is zero, in the context of no extra cost relative to the regular cost of the Radio Times that lacks a Free DVD" happymanuk ref £2.95 'so called P&P' this is why I used 'On 5Th Jan Radio times is giving away(postage costs may apply) Do have a good 2016, happymanuk
Just checked the magazine, you have to pay £2.95 'so-called P&P', so not free at all.
A nit-picker like me would have to point out that it's only free to someone who was going to buy the RT anyway and who therefore doesn't need to be told about the DVD. Anyone interested in the DVD for its own sake will need to cough up the cost of the magazine.
No problem my friend
not everyone is in to celebrities you boring ****!!!
For children in need ...thumbs up .... For that price ....Bad Having Radio times on front of the card.....Terrible ..
i did it last week for the third time. first offer 13 issues for 90p and last two times 12 for £1.Received this weeks and they havent even took the money out yet. I normally buy tv choice for 45p and that would cost £5.40 over 12 weeks and is not as good as the radio times.
Only London,Anglia and Midlands regions being processed
www.tvguide.co.uk FREE FOR EVER
With the exception of buttwipes I would say that there are more of all those available on the internet than you can shake a stick at. I hadn't realised that Radio Times was still going, but 12 magazines for £1 is hot.
Thanks. Just worked for me.
RTG1414A code accepted for me
it will not accept the code I'm afraid
Nice deal direct link And code RTG1414A for those who like to ctrl c/ctrl v
Thanks Framkins - but I suspect this is similar to an offer for a free Gardeners' World magazine a few months back. Be warned that the need for your telephone number has the usual underlying marketing ploys - I requested the GW magazine and was pestered relentlessly with calls to my mobile at all times of the day and evening :(
30 seconds after lraving my details got a call to give my address for the free mag. fab!
Oh...no point with the fake number... they call you for your address!! cold
And they will call and call and you cancel and they call not worth it :)
Thanks for the tips will do that next time.
Same here- whoops!
Time to cancel? How do we do it?
It's no longer a BBC publication.
Good deal. You have to keep eye on RT and direct debits though, they don't tell you of increases. I had a brilliant deal £1 for 13 issues, then £22.99 every 6 months - excellent so I didn't cancel after the 13 issues. All was well for a year then they suddenly put it up to £41.99 without telling me in advance. I got it refunded immediately by using the DD guarantee, through the bank. Will go for this deal but only for the 13 issues, don't trust them to stick to the deal after that.
Cheers great deal as mines just finished so hope they don't cancel my order..and cant see it will not cover Xmas issue...lol
Just had my confirmation which states '...and will exclude the Christmas double issue'.
Got a call - tried to sell me 8 issues for a £1 and then later said it was a trial with an ongoing direct debit! Should have been more clear and direct on phone and perhaps would have taken the trial! Took the free issue only
I'd just tell them sorry I had the repeats.
+ Oh I can't imagine when they can call you just when you are going to use it and their is a knock on the door, "We heard you are using our mag for number 2"
Stop complaining . It's free toilet paper.
so they can send you a copy of the mag!
I've seen another good offer from OS on historical maps. I've bought a couple in the past and taken them out locally... they're over a century old so are really good for comparison. They are only £6.99 (from 14.99) each if you are using the code HISTORYNEWS when you buy them at the checkout.
What is the largest map size you can download to GPS? For instance can you download the whole of Wales or the Lakes in one go? I doubt it or they wouldn't be able to sell their other online maps... unless these are only 1:50000
OS do many free maps and may save you a penny. https://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/opendatadownload/products.html
Thanks Iwannamotorbike :)
Heat added, 8 issues for a quid can't be bad, where's the love on this site! X) Use a bank account direct debit as these are simple to cancel.
Thanks Gerry :)
Shouldn't be this cold so have some heat!! :D
got 6 or 7 last time no phonecall no direct debit taken included Chritmas one. Nice....
