I remember watching the TV programme and resultant articles about TK Maxx. Most stuff in TK Maxx is awesome - what was suggested is that some of their goods are "cut down made-for-outlet style goods" that can't be found in premium stores - think Michael Kors bags were used as an example. A lot of their Osprey stock can't be found on the official site, as I've had a good look for certain items.
If you can verify what you're looking at is sold elsewhere (and I do, easier nowadays as we all have smartphones) you get some cracking things from TK. There was no discussion about watches, but I don't think this applies to them, or electronics, household goods, etc. Mostly clothes and handbags.
Also, my store sells pretty rubbish watches (unless I'm just unlucky, haha).
As for Rado, I only have the Xiaomi knockoff
If they were found to be selling counterfeit branded goods they would get their ar$e handed to them - by trading standards and by Rado themselves.
I'm a buyer for a brewery and have to do thorough due diligence on any purchases - if you are selling to the public the buck stops with you. Ignorance is no excuse. I very much doubt TK Maxx would take the risk of flogging knock off items as they would be heavily fined and they would lose their customers trust. If they tried to plead ignorance they would have to produce all documentation to prove they thought they were buying legit products, and if anything looks "to good to be true" they will be for the high jump.
Due diligence is due diligence. Plain and simple.
Wow I like that! Did you buy?
The impulse Huawei purchase nuked my bank account for a while, haha.
I've always wondered with the clothes and fashions about that! Stitching not quite right or badge not quite straight ect but with the watches I've bought they are sealed and still have the original protective wrap on them, never seen anything to think it's any kind of rejected item, also these massive Swiss brands surely wouldn't sell second rate versions of their heavily marketed products anywhere! Too damaging to reputation. All the bargains I've had are older models of current ones, recently the Valjoux Tissot Chronograph which was released in 2012!
Yeah the thing I wonder about with things like this is how do they get them , what were the circumstances.
