Dive headfirst into a dystopian world devoid of society, law, and order. RAGE 2 brings together two studio powerhouses–Avalanche Studios, masters of open world insanity, and id Software, creators of the first-person shooter –to deliver a carnival of carnage where you can go anywhere, shoot anything, and explode everything.

An asteroid has annihilated 80% of the earth’s population, and humanity’s numbers are dwindling. Ruthless and bloodthirsty gangs roam the open roads and the tyrannical Authority seek to rule with an iron fist. As Walker, the last Ranger of the wasteland and a threat to their power, you have been robbed of your home and left for dead. Now you’ll have to rage for justice and freedom. With ludicrous vehicle combat, super-powered first-person mayhem, and an open world full of emergent madness, you will tear across an unforgiving wasteland battling sadistic gangs to find the tools and tech needed to crush the oppressive rule of The Authority once and for all.

WELCOME TO THE SHOOTERVERSE
id Software’s shooter pedigree and Avalanche Studios’ open world prowess is dream-team-made-real for RAGE 2. It’s more than a shooter, more than an open world game – it’s a shooterverse.

THE WASTELAND AWAITS
Seamlessly traverse a vast and varied landscape, from lush jungles and treacherous swamps to sun-scorched deserts in your pursuit of The Authority. The wasteland is massive, and you’ve got the arsenal to fight for every inch.

PEDAL TO THE METAL
From monster trucks to gyrocopters, use an assortment of rugged and wasteland-ready vehicles to speed across the badlands. If you see it, you can drive it.

THE LAST RANGER
Bring the pain using a collection of upgradable weapons, devastating Nanotrite powers, and Overdrive, the ability to push your guns beyond their mechanical limits.

FACTIONS & FOES
Fight against ferocious factions for control of the wasteland, each featuring a rogue’s gallery of madmen, mutants, and monsters hungry for blood.

Seems a pretty good price for a pre-order?
Really interested in this but want to wait for reviews before I order, apparently reviews are coming out 1 day before the game launch

Waiting for reviews but will likely plummet (price wise) after launch regardless. Hope it’s good!
Just a quick note that this is a Bethesda launcher code, but you won't get a Steam code for close to this price.

Oh joy, yet another game launcher... Just what we need, because I was getting bored with only having Steam, uPlay, Origin and Epic store.
This is another title which will plummet in no time. Wait a while.

In my book consumer choice isn't a bad thing. Competition has ment that Valve are actually having to do something with steam instead of running it like a hippy commune!

Also, I don't want a launcher that includes "entertainment" based around sexual violence, racial discrimination and homophobia, Valve are quite happy for that to happen unless they get called out by mainstream media. That's a crappy way to curate your content.

You realise you have to opt in to adult content on steam right?

Yes and sexual content is fine, sexual violence is what I'm talking about.

Whilst I understand your point surrounding discrimination etc, do you really think these other stores care anymore? Competition from Epic and other stores is not winning on the moral front and they don't appear to be causing some major shake up on those issues either... We're just losing QoL as the paying customer, I'm yet to see/feel the win.

I don't think I made myself very clear. I'm not collating them together. I like having options and also don't like the fact that Valve aren't interesting in applying any control over the quality of the products they sell.

Also I'm not a fan of Epic removing titles off steam, especially after Tim Sweeny made all that fuss about Microsoft having its own store and trying to convince people they where going to close their open platform, the very thing Epic are now doing.

You really care about a few dodgy indie games slipping through the cracks on steam? I guess you want the alternative where only premium indie games and AAA games are available for purchase. Stop your moral grandstanding; nobody here is impressed.

Thanks for you sage words alltheplugs.

Look, I'm just airing my opinion, I don't think anyone needs to agree with me. I'm aloud to have one though. Just like you are, you don't need to make it a personal attack.
