Raleigh Avenir Snug Child Seat - Red

This is a fantastic product, we purchased so we could take our 16 month old daughter out on cycle rides with us and put to use our bikes again. I fitted it to my bike yesterday which was a breeze and we took it out on its maiden voyage today (8 mile ride along a dedicated cycle/horse riding route)... a resounding success - she loved it and was safe and snug.

Before purchasing this seat we looked at lots and they were generally a lot more expensive than this ... was a bit worried about this not being great quality because it's cheap but it really is superb and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a child seat.

I'm sure its a good seat but thats a very average price
Didnt even know they made them. I was looking in decathlon for a seat today and they do a quick release seat for £39.99. They also do cheaper ones that stay on the bike. Is this one quick release?

It is, you fit a bracket to the bike (you can buy additional brackets too if you like for use on more than one bike) with four bolts and then the seat just clicks in, removal is by pressing a large red button and pulling the seat up away from the bike. A really clever and simple design but one that works well and holds the child securely.

I beg to differ when only considering 'trusted' retailers, we first saw this seat in Go Outdoors - a discount outdoor shop that requires the purchase of an annual card and it was £35 in there.
This is a good seat that I purchased for my 9 month old son. I did, however, pay this price for it about 6 weeks ago from Amazon so not really a hot deal as they have had it at this price for quite a while (I kept checking the price over the course of two weeks for any price drops before buying).

Voting hot anyway because it's a good seat and cheaper than most alternatives.
Thanks for this OP, was just about to spend £80 on a Hamax Siesta gonna give this a go as the reviews look very good. Heat Added
what sort of age is this up to, i know it says 22kg max but what age is too big? (thinking of a 3 1/2 yr old)

Hi Lady Lowe,

The instruction book says a max weight of 48.5lbs / 22Kg and an age limit of 7 years. The foot 'holders' move up and down into several positions as do the shoulder straps.
