Looks ok to me, and Raleigh has to be better than that Apollo stuff they sell.
Hot from me.

Hmmm, been thikningabout gettng a mounain bie, shall have to go check o9ut their range, thanks OP,

Mike..

Looking at it's spec, don't expect it to cope with anything too rough...

I can't imagine this bike ever being worth £320!

Its an okay deal but if I was gonna spend less than £200 for a bike, I wouldnt go for this one.

I would go for the Be Aspire 1.0 from chainreactions as it has much much better components and is just an overall better bike

Or Claud Butler Mercury

evanscycles.com/pro…245

Or the Specialized Expedition Sport for a Hybrid

Or maybe buy a second hand one from ebay but I can see the attraction of buying new.

Make your mind up. Cheap OR half decent.

Try here for half-decent: ]http//ww…uk/

:? Recently bought this bike at Halfords. Looks nice enough but a few pointers you should know before clicking 'BUY'... :?

================
- The frame is not lightweight. You're gonna work those muscles if you're pushing uphill let alone lifting into the boot!

- Twist shift gear changers are rubbish... what was I thinking! They work well enough but aren't as easy as the standard trigger shifts.

- If you're near my height (5'11" or taller) the 18" frame will feel a bit small. Maybe that was me not getting the right size..!

- Trip computer is nice enough: current/max/average speed, trip dist, total dist, time. Fits no problem.

- Rear light is ok, front is pretty bulky! Both aren't rock-steady on their mounts.

- No screws on underside of frame for mud guard. Have to resort to a strapon... excuse the wordage!

- No extreme offroad...! Haven't dabbled with a bit of the rough stuff and traction is an issue. Suspension not up to much but does its best.

If I were buying over again I would squeeze that extra £30-40 and get a better bike. I agree with earlier post... never worth the higher price!! ;-)

I was thinking of buying this bike, can anyone else give any feedback or recommendations for different bikes around a similar price?

Thank!
