what's the difference between outlet and full price quality Ralph's? Never work outlet, are they tacky ?

Odd colors, minor defects etc

How much are they from other places?

Trust me, when you compare a standard £75 polo next to a £35 outlet polo you can really tell the difference. They fit better, keep their shape better and wash better. Save your money till you can buy in the sale at House of Fraser, JL etc. You'll notice the difference

Most of the US designers are (in)famous for their outlet quality clothing. Just do a little google.

I own Ralph tops from Harrods, HarveyN and TK Maxx and maybe it's just me but both carry the cheaper style tops and the higher end price/quality tops so I wouldn't dismiss it just because it's from TK I'd say look at each individual item on it's own some great bargains from all 3 places to be had depending upon sales and discount stickers.

more to the point Ralph lauren is **** now as a brand, and not worthy of its status held as designer, just caus a few football hooligans and 55yr old dudes buy em..............

I would worry the chavs would hand me some cider

Completely wrong...... Difference between standard Retail (say Bond Street as example) and Outlet is the season of the product. Outlet tend to get a lot of old "Wholesale" and Full Price product sent to them to sell off because it was over-bought. Legally not allowed to sell it for 6 months after it was originally on sale. Outlet also have their own range and the quality is the same as Full Price. They just cater for 2 different types of customer:
a) Those with enough money to spend £5k on a dress
b) Those that don't have that money but like the brand and product.

TK Maxx sell the product that is left AFTER Outlet etc. have tried selling it - usually 2 or 3 year old product and it no longer holds any value to RL.

Correct my friend! I've worked for TK Maxx, most their Ralph Lauren products are just labelled as "past season"...but if you're like me and you're not fussed on seasonal colours that "fashion" has then £35 for a RL polo is a brilliant price...
