Doesn't everyone else think their stuff is totally bland? If you took away the little man on the horse..would you actually buy it? It's the sort of stuff you buy when you are totally devoid of any sense of fashion but need feel the need to convey social status. Buy some sweets instead people.
We live in a materialistic world sadly
£10 delivery for a £10 Baby jersey 😳 how they sending it via Jockey?

Most of the good stuff has gone. They have also reduced the discount on much of the stuff.
I usually buy from their Bicester Village outlet in the Boxing day sale - some decent stuff there, although the crowd is always manic - but thats to be expected I suppose. Thanks for the remind nonetheless, heat given.

i.e. shallow. But you can say that about any branding right?
And although it is expensive, my personal experience with RL clothing is that it's very good quality. Wrt to the little man on the horse, the RRL and Purple range (although much more expensive than the Polo range) do not carry that motif or any motif - which kinda goes against your theory?

I'm 6'5" and favour them too, check out the ebay sellers in the US usually half the price and they mark the packages low value avoiding customs interest.

As it is EBay how can you be sure you’re getting authentic goods? RL Polo must be one of the most counterfeited brands out there.
thanks op i am so tempted to order my 6ft5 hubby some golf stuff as they never seem to have any at ashford outlet & it's his birthday on the 28th December so fingers crossed it arrives in time

I buy a lot of their stuff and would regardless of the horse, its not for me to say "hey look what I am wearing" its because it is well made from nice materials and lasts, I have a hoodie that I wear to death that I have had over ten years. It is rather narrow minded of people to think that the reason this and other brands are expensive is because of the image that they have compare something from here with something from M&S and there is no comparison. To me RL is not a fashion brand but a quality brand, I think that my hoodie cost about £80 so £8 per year and probably will still have it in 10 years time I don't find clothes from other retailers last as well and therefor this is far better value.
usually get RL stuff from the outlet centre in New York, alot more choice and sizes.

I never pay rrp (tk maxx or outlets), but I find the polos to be the best "fit" for my size and come out of the wash repeatedly like new where other brands tend to bobble or fade much quicker. Brands are not always about status and fashion - i have designer underwear but noone except my wife sees them. I pay extra for the quality, not the name.
It is a kinda brand if you can't afford it at it's full price, just do not buy it but if do so get it only from official resellers or RL itself. So easy to copy all of their products like lacoste's or burberry's DO NOT BUY FROM EBAY.

I think the website you’re looking for is maybe hotukopinions. While you’re teeth are rotting on your sweets while you walk around in your stretched faded primary t-shirt, I’ll feel good walking around in a nicely fitted quality brand. The quality of the clothes make the label, not the other way round.
RL jumpers are great, horse aside.
Beware of tkmaxx RL. Although genuine they make a range for them in lesser quality materials. This is alongside previous season clearance which is good value. Feal the quality of some of the tkmaxx RL polo shirts, it's not as good.

I only don't see the point. You spend absolute fortunes to dress like you've spent £20 down the market where they sell all of the "replicas"

Same as Bicester village junk. It's not the retail product but a second line specifically for outlets.

It's expensive, but actually decent quality. Their clothes just last for years without any issues.

I don't buy RL for the brand, but for the quality.

What do you wear then? Must give me some of that fashion knowledge.

A good Ralph Lauren polo shirt can fit almost any occasion, lasts ages and fits well. The cost per use is almost nothing and they aren’t even very expensive anyway so I don’t see how it conveys ‘social status’.

If you’d written this about Michael Kors watches I’d be 100% in agreement- but I’ve found RL polos to be excellent quality at a slightly dear price.

I have never been to Chesire Oaks so can't comment on it. Bicester is good, just tends to get very very busy - you almost get a feeling everything there is being handed out for free

Haha until the bill comes through the post!

Might give it a visit! Thanks
The RL shop at Cheshire Oaks is huge now compared to the old shop. When I was in there the other night the guy behind the till told me that they are now in 'stage 2' of the sale and despite popular belief, the prices will NOT go down next week on Boxing day etc.

He said 'stage 3' of the sale will start around the 7th of January which is when things get further reduced. So in other words, if you've been to the Cheshire Oaks outlet this week then no point going until around the 7th of January if you're looking for reductions!
try 90% off still rip off

Not sure how when was your last Boxing day visit at Bicester Village. I visit every year this place. RL used have really good sale till 2014 Boxing day plus you used to get 20% off on top of sale. From 2015 RL Boxing day is rubbish the prices are same all over year. Do not spend your valuable time in queuing this shop!!!

It's not difficult to get to £70 order. Just order stuff you don't need, to reach the free delivery threshold, and then return when parcel arrives.

I think it says more for the brand that they don't feel the need to make the clothes jazzy and loud. Fashion comes in all styles and everyone is different and likes different things. I don't see why people need to judge others on it.

Put simply, genuine Ralph Lauren clothes are good quality, and the logo just represents their brand.

The RL Polo branded polo shirts in TKMaxx are dreadful. They don’t look like they would survive even a gentle wash.

Bicester. No question. Only Bicester and London tend to get much of the RRL stuff. The other outlets stock mostly Polo and made-for-outlet tat. Was at Cheshire Oaks this week with a RL fanatic and he walked out empty handed in high dudgeon at a wasted journey.
