My card has had issues with other country s currency on the marketplace since I bought Destiny on the Hong Kong store Good price if you're in the market for the digital version - I'm gonna hold onto my pre-order at a quid more though I think rather than go through the hassle of getting this to work.

Heat for the price! Personally i prefer games on disc so rather pay a few quid more to keep my pre order.

Mine did that after buying games from HK & Canada. Hungary is the only decent one IT works with now, give it a go.

Easier to do via Xbox.com if you don't want to keep switching regions on your Xbox

Thought Microsoft stamped this out? I havent been able to order off the hong kong store for months. Always says error

usually depending on cards you use you get charged around £2 conversion fee using this method, so be warned

Microsoft may have blocked other regions' stores (Americas, Asia etc.) but I have never had any problem with the Hungary store, probably because all EU stores go through Microsoft Luxembourg in the same way.

When you purchase anything in foreign currencies, I would suggest using a credit card with no fees, e.g. the Halifax Clarity card.

That is a very good point. They can't block EU stores by law as per the free trade agreement.

How do you change the store on Xbox.com Ben looking for 15 mins and can't work it out!

Thanks mate. Now when I get to the pay screen I, having difficulty with the address I. Think, what do you put in here

For anyone interested works out as around £13.78 after fees with HSBC. I'm still not sure its worth going through the hassle of cancelling my Rakuten/Base preorder again though X)

I used my real address except I think the postcode needed to be 4 numbers only, so just put 1234 or something.

Whatever will the government do now that they've not got my £3.....

If they're desperate/cared about tax they'd go after all the massive tax dodgers.

You do pay VAT though, actually at a higher rate than we do in the UK. Hungarian VAT at 27% is included in the price, and is shown on a receipt that is emailed a while after purchase.

That isn't right under 2015 VAT rules, but Microsoft seem to ignore those. They should really base the VAT on where the customer is located, rather than the store (which is legally in Luxembourg anyway).

I use a UK credit card from a UK IP address and even put "UNITED KINGDOM" and my real postcode on one of the available address lines. There isn't really any more I can do and paying over the correct VAT is Microsoft's responsibility.

A very good price but I'm not convinced I'd ever play any of these games. Far too retro for me.

I take it you can use a EU MS Gift Card to buy this as well??

What address have people used for the CC details, can you still use your UK address?

Other than not switch your Xbox / Account settings to say you're from Hungary?

You're such a cretin it's unreal. You know what you're doing, don't play dumb.

Wouldn't surprise me to see account bans for this sort of thing in the future. I'll stick to supporting devs / UK for the time being.

No, Hungary isn't in the Eurozone.

Wha???
That's your loss really. The devs are getting the money either way. Why should the UK be penalised by paying OTT? The Xbox One is region free. As in... It's region free.... Which means.... It's region free...
I've been buying from other regions for 12+ months. Others have been doing it since day one.

get mad bro

Voted cold, as I do on all these account switching deals. Pretty dodgy grey area, I wouldn't recommend doing it to save a couple of quid.

I don't really go in for the Hungarian deals, as I tend to prefer physical copies unless it's a significant saving, but I don't have the holier than though attitude you seem to have. This is a deals website, people use it to save money. If you feel the need to call others who are exploiting a well established and frankly ignored loophole "Cretins" for saving a few quid, maybe you should keep those opinions to yourself, or remove yourself from the site.

As for supporting the devs, they're getting the money regardless really. As for supporting the U.K, I pay more than enough tax through my income and V.A.T, receive no benefits and haven't been to a Doctors or Hospital in over 10 years. Don't bring politics into a sodding discussion about saving a few quid on a game. It screams sad-sack.
