Nice price for the full kit and you definitely need the heatsinks and fan on this bad boy. This is for the 4GB Model as well and has everything you need to get you started.

Was on 72% claimed as i posted this.

As mentioned you will need a keyboard and mouse for this.

Was going to say this is getting away from the minimun price product that it started as but then I realised how many accessories are included.
Any good project suggestions for this?
Not really a full kit - missing a keyboard and mouse (unless you're going headless).

You'll need a keyboard and mouse to get things set up regardless tbh.

Na far too much power for a pi hole. You can run that on a Pi zero.
I was looking at the 4GB version for a home automation hub
Looking for a good deal on the Pi4, ordered. Have some heat :-)

Kali Linux machine, plex, jellyfin, home automation, airplay receiver, retro emulator, python programming...lots of different things that it can be used for.
Ordered
ordered ty.
a tinkerers joy.
looking forward to trying a few things including pi-hole and maybe a bit of old school mario kart/ mario party ready for christmas visits
To be honest, it's not much cheaper than buying all the bits direct from pihut - same model 32gb sd card is going for £6 on amazon, the power supply is £8, that case and fan is around £10....
Also, the PI can be run from any USB charger that can put out 2A. Mines been running for months on one.
PI with discount code at pihut = £48
Case = £10
SD card = £6
Reader = £5
Power supply = £8
Damn it... Gone

what's the discount code?
I've got my pi4 set up on pi hole to see what it was like, in a word brilliant. Will try and buy a cheap second hand pi3 for pi hole as using the pi4 is overkill, and can be used for different projects. Anyone have experience of using the zero w on pi hole? I prefer ethernet, so the reason for a cheaper pi3.

I've got Pi-hole setup on a very old model A but a zero would be fine too. These will use much less power. It's a bit of a waste using the much more capable pi 4 or even a pi 3.

Yeah, wanted to try pi hole before I bought a zero. Perfect bit of kit for it.

Make your own dns server plus smart home.

Better home assistant than pi hole.
Inside you could install adguard and better blocking ads than pi hole

Now you mention Lakka, I think I tried to set that up a few weeks ago but didn't get very far with it. Will give it another go.
