iSmart

iSmart technology automatically detects and delivers the optimal charge; making it the fastest, most effective way to power any connected device. With two 2.4A iSmart ports, fast charging has never been easier.

Constant Charge

The battery input of 12-24V is standard across all cars; however there are times when it can exceed this standard. When you hit the ignition switch or when the car accelerates, the input can be anywhere from 8V to as high as 30V. No matter the voltage, the USB charger will automatically adjust to protect your device and charge at a steady rate.

Great Power, Great Responsibility

The car charger comes with a number of built-in protection methods to keep your device safe. The built-in over & under voltage, over-current, and over-temperature protections ensure your mobile phone and other device's safety needs are guaranteed.

Popular Compatible Models:

- Apple: iPhone 7, 7 Plus, 6S, 6 Plus, 6, 5S, 5, 4S; iPad Mini, Air, and all other models; Note: not compatible with Earlier Version of iPod
- Android Phones: Moto G; HTC One
- Other Devices: PSP; Nexus, etc.

What's In the Box:
1 x RAVPower Dual
1 x User guide.

QC vs iSmart? What are people's opinions

iSmart on most devices is slower, but tbh, when it is in the car charging, it is only really a pulse battery top up, so would not worry about it too much, I have a qc3 similar device and it will charge quicker, but then it would as the pulsed wattage is higher per port.

Thanks, my main issue I am trying to solve for is if using GPS this maintains or increases battery life.

It works fine with a Navman and charges ((trickle)) as you drive, think the output to input use, is about 30% more, so the nav will not go flat, if you get what I mean!
So with sat Nav on phone will it kill it or charge

Would this be compatible with OnePlus dash charge?

It will still charge the phone but not at the full speed of dash charge. This is 2.4 amps maximum per USB slot. However it is quite a bit cheaper than an official Dash Car Charger.

"The key difference between the two fast charging technologies is that while Qualcomm uses higher voltages to charge batteries, VOOC (Dash charge) relies on delivering a higher amperage. For instance, Quick Charge 3.0 goes up to 6.5V at 3A, creating 19.5W, whereas VOOC delivers 5V at 4A to attain 20W."

Can it be used on other iPhone models? X
Don't hesitate on this, it is brilliant. Been using one for around a year.
Code not working anymore.
Not sure if it's just for prime users but looks like you can get a twin pack for £5:99 by using promotion
Not a fan of this manufacturer. Buy cheap buy twice.
Will it charge a iPhone 8 like a normal plug and let use satnav?
Really good little device, bought this the last time around.

Yes it does. In fact on long journeys (2hr + ) my battery goes to 80% charged (from 50%) when running GPS.
Got an old ravpower 3 port 18 months ago that died and I just bought a new ravpower 2 port fast charge yesterday and it works! Fast charge are live savers so no reason to go cheap if you have fast charge devices. This one on offer does not have fast charge.

My last ravpower 3 port car charger died after 18 months. Many people have commented about ravpower stuff not lasting so he is not wrong in giving his opinion. I bought their fast charge yesterday despite the longevity issues.

It is compatible with all normal device i.e samsung, oneplus and iphones.
I have an electric cool box in the boot and a dashcam in the rear of the car and they both need to plug into the single socket in the boot. Can someone confirm if it's ok to use a splitter like this for that purpose? I assumed it would be fine, but then I noticed that all of these splitters have pretty low wattage / amp limits on them(?). My cool box uses 45W (which is pretty standard) and from what I can see, all of the multi-socket adapters on Amazon are rated lower than this per socket(?). Does anyone have a similar setup in their car and if so what one are you using?

yes you are getting better by writing who sells the item (sunvalleytek-uk)

This will give you 2 x 5V outputs as USB style connectors. Are you sure your cool box has a USB style connector? It would seem very unlikely, especially as you say it is 45W, which would mean it would need 9 Amps at 5V. This device certainly wouldn't be suitable for that.

Oops - sorry, I got confused when looking quickly at this thread. I was looking at similar chargers on Amazon where they have USB sockets and Lighter sockets combined and noticed that even the most powerful ones (e.g. 120W total) state not to exceed 40W with any single socket(?). How are people connecting up these electric cool boxes when using these types of splitters?
